I am concerned about that * Clancy. With a full house of rabid Orcs he will give them everything and dish out cards early doors to our players. Toblerone dome wil be up to his usual tricks of diving, rolling around and feigning injury as will a few of their other players. We need to press them high non stop, force them to make mistakes, be compact in midfield and defence.

We're definitely scoring a couple here..

Maybe tonight was a good lesson as in that's the way the Huns Will play. Quite direct. Long diagonals. Morelos charging about..

They aren't as good with the press as that AZ side tonight and are nowhere near as quick in my opinion going forward..

I have no idea how this game will go tbh.

If they are missing Wright and Kent we'll win 100% if not it'll be their strongest area on the pitch and I hope Ralston and Montgomery are prepared.

Gonna assume theyll have a full strength team and go 2-1 us.

Both are untested though and not integrated to our system. Each to their own but dropping Ralston is a massive error imo

    Ralston
    Welsh
    Starfelt
    Juranovic

    Turnbull
    McGregor
    Rogic

    Abada
    Kyogo
    Christie

Go for the pace up front and throw Juranovic in alongside Starfelt on the left to compensate for his lack of pace. Montgomery did well tonight so would be happy with him if Taylor is out but with Ange throwing players in early and JJ playing for legia at the weekend I'd give him a shot.

    3-1 Celtic (Kyogo x 2, Rogic worldie)

I'd say on current form AZ are a much better team but yeah definite similarities, hopefully lessons have been learnt from tonight. If that lot were playing AZ they would be in the conference

I think they would've put the Huns out tonight as well..

Their press and intensity was pretty impressive and they were quite quick and no afraid to go direct..

I don't think this mob have that in them. Especially after some player's missing and a long haul flight back from Armenia..

We need to ensure we don't give Clancy any excuse to show any of our players cards. I've noticed that Ralston and Kyogo are quite prone to diving in and Clancy will crumble under pressure from the hoards to send someone off. Preventing them from firing in crosses by not giving away stupid fouls or shutting down their overlapping full backs together with some controlled aggression is what we need and, if we do that, we should do that horrible rancid shower of *

I’ve watched the last 4-5 hun games. They’re not sharp at all, their backline is more dog * then ours, and they can barely string 4-5 passes together.

4-1 victory to the green and white.

Said it in the match thread, AZ are the best team we've played yet and I don't think that changes this weekend, the huns don't have the players or pace to press us the way AZ did all game. They've just toiled their way to a 1-0 win with a blatantly offside goal over two legs to a team that would be relegation fodder in our league, but are telling themselves we're * because we've beat AZ 3-2 in a real contest that could have gone either way.

AZ forced mistakes out of us at times due to pressing us high, the huns don’t have that same intensity or energy. Neither defence looks great right now, but we are carrying a massive threat going forward, they aren’t. We are a better team middle to front, if we cut out the silly mistakes like tonight, I can see us winning by a couple.

AZ are on another level to Rangers. Rangers drew 0-0 with the side second from bottom in the Armenian league tonight and Alashkeret or whatever they are called had 10 men for most of the game.

Just wondering why kyogo gets pushed left for eddy wen eddy is completely comfortable playing that position and setting up chances .

Aye and if we do go direct then Edouard is likely to be able to outmuscle Patterson or Tavernier with ease to hold it up, drift in how he does and create space for Kyogo....who can occupy almost a whole defence on his tod..
