Skip to about 4:20 if you don't want to listen to whole thing, but from there it's pure gold.

Wonder how many of you know this guy and his band? Greenock/Gourock native, Henry Gorman
Actually saw these guys at a pub in Greenock waaaaay back (probably close to around time this recording was made)
I actually have this on a 45 somewhere - my buddy who lived in Greenock knew Henry & picked it up for me - VERY rare item :D

Studio version - guitar solo a bit better, starts at ~ 2:30

More than a feeling - Boston

EVERYONE knows that unmistakable, instantly recognizable sound - incredible how complex that was when you consider it was created in the early/mid 70's - Tom Scholz was an absolute genius with this whole thing being done in his self-constructed basement studio without the benefit of multi-track digital recording equipment and computer software as would be done today.
What you would call the guitar solos are quite short but certainly notable and worthy of inclusion here. But its the overall complexity of the entire thing that is absolutely amazing.

As a lay person who just appreciates 'what sounds good', without knowing the nuances that go into the creation, check out this analysis (below) - it blows you away when you recognize all those individual elements (once they are pointed out) that you have heard, but are perhaps not quite conscious of (that guy has a whole series and many of them are well worth checking out).

Footnote - watched an interview with Tom Scholtz who acknowledged that 'Marianne' was actually his much older cousin for whom he had a pre-teen crush :56:
Could have been worse - at least it wasn't his sister!

That hybrid picking is really tough to do (plectrum and fingers). I'm pretty good at finger picking but I can't really do that! Very impressive good sir!

Ha! Nice! This is one to play after we've battered the blue mob - sitting back at home with a beer and a herbal and going 'That was a good day!'
