If Bain or Barkas had been there I am not sure we would have won to be honest.

Rusty but already feel more confident with him there let’s get a decent back 4 in front of him

Passing was rusty. Played Ralston a pretty brutal suicide ball late on that nearly cost us.

Feel 10x more confident though with him in the sticks.

Maybe harsh but I felt he was poor for the first goal. Should have been rushing out and closing down as the ball comes over the top (or atleast be prepared)

Weak goal but I don't feel that was the goalkeepers fault at all.

I buy the rusty thing, and just felt more relaxed at set pieces with him. Second goal just too far off his line, easy call for the striker. Still, shambolic defending for both goals

He's already making me feel more relaxed at set pieces than Barkas and Bain.

Sharpen up a bit and get the defence sorted infront of him and we'll be grand.

He only played 10 games last season, and hasn’t played too much over the last 2/3 seasons so he’s definitely rusty.

Over the next few months his confidence will grow and hopefully Steve woods can get the best out of him.

Not bad performance and definitely an improvement in barkas and Bain.

The Celtic Song ... There can be only one !
1st goal if he comes and challenges chances are he gives away a pen and gets a possible red card for his troubles.

2nd goal he's on a hiding to nothing. If he stays he should have come out to narrow the angles. If he comes out he's to far off his line.

As said on here I felt more at ease with him in goals.

So much about keeping is confidence and timing. Coming off your line or coming for crosses are things that seem so easy when the confidence/timing is there, but totally impossible when it's not.

Hart does the things he can currently control really well - strutting about at the back and barking instructions. Teams love that from their keeper and will feel more confident simply because of the show (and the fact he's done it before at the top level). That will lift everyone.

As the confidence/timing improves, his general performance will improve out of sight and spread to those around him. He's only 34 - should be still at his peak and potentially a season defining player.

    I emphasise potentially.

Aye ball was in the air for quite a bit of time for the 1st goal, don't blame him for it but should have been on the move to make it more difficult for the scorer..

He was probably stunned by how much space our CBs had left, it was a school boy goal and we still need 2 x CBs.

First goal I'm actually glad he stayed where he was. Awrite we lost a goal but if he comes out and clatters the boy he's off and there's a good chance we lose that game. He's then banned for the second leg and we're stuck with picking one of the chuckle brothers to go in goals again.

Even if we had messi in goals with the ball at his feet I'd be screaming the same :56: I understand why he wants to pass it out but hopefully Joe can use his experience to know when to boot it.

Saved a 1on1 near the end to prevent a 4-3.

He doesn't look particularly agile at this stage of his career. Hoofed it a bit much in the second half as well, although that was mainly down to the defenders not showing for the ball. But other than that, you could see his experience and ability to communicate. Definitely felt more comfortable with him in goal than the other two stooges.

How successful he is here will be determined by how hard he works at training. If he works with the coaches, does the drills and sharpens up his game he’ll do well here for years. If he doesn’t this will be the last football he plays in his career.

Doubt a guy that's done as well as he has in his career will be shy of getting the head down. He does well here, he can get another few years on decent money. Flops and this could be his last club, as you say. Would hope anyway.
