We have bought a keeper who's confidence is rock bottom, not who I wanted but willing to give him a chance once he gels with a settled back 4 he will be decent

    Communicated well..

Was good for crosses bar that half shot early on..

Made quite a good save spreading his self late on for a 1 on 1..

The first goal was woeful defending that he had no chance with..

Second, the defence was all at sea and he got lobbed. Fair enough, was a good finish..

He was fine for me for his debut straight on a plane to the Czech Republic with that defence..

Imagine being in goal though with that defence in front of you. I think any keeper would feel uncomfortable.

Barkas would've conceded more. At least double.

He had no hope with the second - thought he could have made himself bigger for the first but the blame lies with Bitton and Starfelt for that goal.

With the ball at his feet he gives me the absolute fear.

Great communicator though, hopefully can get the defence better organised.

Never did I think I would see the day that I'm cheering on Joe Hart.
We've went from having 2 keepers with no hands and no feet to having Joe Hart who has no feet, I think he'll turn out to be a quality signing but I know every game when the ball goes near him I'll be screaming "Get it out tae *!"

Did Hart make any actual saves though? Not sure I can remember any!

Decent debut but would like him to come out quicker to meet a striker closing in. Have a lot more confidence in him than the other two put together though.

Going forward this season Joe Hart will not be our major concern. He will give us a solid foundation. It's the numerous other positions that give us most to be concerned with.

Just feels more solid with him in there, didn’t have to do much but at least he has something about him when the other 2 are shrinking violets.

    Yes.

Didn't deal with some of them brilliantly but they didn't end up in the net, and that's all that matters. I don't blame him for either goal.

The blame lays with the system, all too easy to counter against and play over the top

Totally agree the system is too open and if we lose the ball outside the opposition penalty box a long ball puts the striker through one to one with the keeper .

Their first goal started with a poor kick out by Hart.

Rusty. But will be an improvement. Literally jumped on the plane whilst the ink was drying on his contract.

If you're being harsh I reckon he should be off his line a wee bit quicker for the first and then for the second I'd say the exact opposite watching it back there, he probably has time to get back and not make the strikers mind up on the chip.

They weren't his fault though, overall.

Definitely a huge improvement communication wise. Didn't stop all game. Will need a settle back 4 in front of him.

At least he’s honest, he knows he’s rusty, he knows he made a few wee mistakes. He will build on that. I just hope he can sort his footwork out as some of his touches and passes were murder.

Although we were dodgy at the back, I automatically felt more relieved knowing and seeing Hart in there.

Could hear him shouting, directing, communicating to his team mates.

Think he'll be an excellent signing for us.
