Odsonne Edouard

He's not displaying qualities that make him look like a decent longterm proposition for any suitor..

Needs to be left out a few games, if he wants a move he will need to show it again.

 

It's quite an odd situation where I don't particularly fancy any of our first team strikers starting games at the moment. Edouard has mentally checked out and is well off form, I don't want to see Griffiths play for us again for obvious reasons, and Ajeti has been unconvincing though I suppose he does deserve his chance to prove himself this season. Signing a new striker should be a priority.

 

That would be the ideal thing for ceitic fc…

but ceitic plc will see it differently…

He is the main sellable asset (that we want to sell) so will continue to ‘shop-window’ him even if his attitude says “I don’t care”…

It’s a funny one because you’d think he’d be trying to showcase himself if he really wants a decent move.

Hopefully following that other French lump out the door ASAP.

 

There isn't a single premier league club who could have watched his three games so far this year and said "that's the guy we want to lead our line". Not Brentford, not Norwhich, not burnley etc

Therefore they need to ask "do we want to spend 15m on a squad player when we can get him for free soon or even cheaper in 4 months".

He isn't going anywhere anytime soon

 

Ange needs to refuse to play him. A * strikerless system is better than playing Le Sulk right now.

What's the script with Ajeti, he looked like he'd lost a lot of weight in pre-season like he was ready to push on, but now Eddy keeps getting the nod even though he looks like he's completely checked out mentally.

That's the weird thing for me. He's been * since last season and the first few games of this season so, if he's wanting to get a big money move to the land of milk and honey, he's certainly going about it the wrong way. Other clubs might also not take him now as they see him not trying as a stain on his character and wouldn't want to sign a temperamental moody type player who will down tools whenever he sees fit.

 

Southampton have just sold Danny Ings fingers crossed they are daft enough to sign Eddy.

 

Hanging around like a bad smell - Eddy, get your lazy * to * out of Celtic.

 

Maybe I've been too harsh on him recently...

 

I feel like we keep playing this guy because of what he is capable off, or capable off a few years ago. Rather than the reality of his performances over the last year

 

That's the big I cannae wrap my head around. The difference between signing for a peripheral English team and a top half team is massive in terms of money, it's bizarre that he wouldn't work harder to attract a better team. Maybe he thought he was a shoe-in somewhere and it never came to fruition. Maybe facing free agency will help him get the message.

 

I don't understand why he continues to start. Off the bench maybe but give Ajeti a run.

 

C'mon Southampton, use the Ings money and buy Edouard
