Feels like O'Connor, heavily hyped but probably not ready for us..

Not against it but like we all know we need to add quality, with psysical presence and experience.

So he is a centre half then? But a left footed one.

So Dermot Desmond's "hands on approach" is to take a chunk of our transfer budget and give it to his other club, in exchange for a player who miles off the first 11.

I swear if I ever met Desmond I'd have a hard time not laying the * out.

No issue with the kid, very highly regarded in Ireland and indeed many clubs in England, he knocked back a deal with Man City u23's for game time and has apparently been developing at a rapid pace.

    But ffs.

    Seriously.

    FOR * SAKE.

We can’t afford another player like this...

The club is already completely saturated with them.

I genuinely don’t understand how the club can afford to do this given how tight and frugal they are?

Agreed, Scales is better than Taylor. I still think we need an upgrade but for the price it is a no brainer and a player that will probably keep improving.

I'd take him if we're punting Taylor. If we're not though that's a cause for concern

At sub-£1M, with what appears to be his ability and the attention he's received already, this is kinda a no-brainer. Will he instantly catapult us to Tierney level, of course not, but noone we can afford would. He sounds like direct competition for Taylor, which should be good for the development of both players. Hopefully in a year we'll have 2 quality players there to pick from...

This is a deal I don't mind as long as we punt Taylor.

I've a horrid feeling we are stuck with him till January at least. Happy this guy at least has some height about him.

I'd be going to Hibs and exchanging him for Doig or Nisbet or to Utd and get Siegrist or even Ferguson at Aberdeen. That's right, I said Ferguson at Aberdeen.

I think if we could trade griff as part of a Nesbit deal that would be good for both clubs. I’m sure griff would be up for going given the abuse he got in the West Ham game. Can’t see us getting Doig tbh and siegrist is someone I’d like to join us but he’ll want to be number one. That’s not happening with hart now signed

I'd 100% swap Griffiths for Nisbet in a heartbeat.

I'm sure Siegrist would believe he could compete with Hart for number 1. He'd definitely have his shot in the net and could potentially make it his. He's been outstanding for utd.

    Anyone who wouldn't is mental..

Seen Hayes' goal at the weekend against Siegrist, long ball over the top that he stalled on for about 20 yards then came out so late and got dinked in the box..

    Lewis is much better..
