i want him to do well i just think he is a one trick pony - other than his speed which he relies on he wont compete as he gets older, on 1 v 1 with a quick full back he comes unstuck.

his crosses at times, and decision making could be clinical but that goes for all the team, what he does do well when fit is get back and help the full back and do the dirty work.

i just think when i see him, turnbull, Christie / rogic - in the team we will be getting bullied and over run - we need a strong spine in the team from GK through to striker to compete in a league which is becoming more and more physical and dominant in terms of winning aerial duels and flick ons etc.

Using my eyes I’m going to say not many were from the bench due to niggling injuries, because he hasn’t had niggling injuries for years.

You also have to think to yourself if he was that good surely he would be linked to a move away or an EPL team at some point.

One trick pony... all he has is pace...

Another mental take. I understand we all have our win opinions but why do people just ignore basic facts?

He has one of the best first touches at the club, hasn’t used raw pace to define his game on years. Regularly comes inside and links play so well. This is the important part though. Regularly scores and assists over 30 goals a season.

But hey, as long as people don’t care about goals then sure, let’s punt him.

Let’s play a wee game, let’s hypothetically say he was offered a move down south who do you think would take him?

    I’d say Luton/Barnsley at a push Sunderland/Cardiff.

Not being a wideo, just would like to see where you rate him. As we both see two completely different players.

Who took Van Dijk? Wanyama? Who is intersted in Edouard?

Makes no difference who would or wouldn’t be interested in him. I only care what he does for Celtic and that scores and assists goals.

as a wingerhes isn't direct, his crossing isn't clincal, he cant hit a corner kick, he cant take a player in 1 v 1 in a tight area, he often uses his pace in a foot race. id have had paddy Roberts anyday of the week, and it could be argued that it was when both were competing for a place in the team it was when we see the best out of him - again Frimpong was the better long term option than forrest, but frimp got fudged into rb which he never was and then pumped for big money.

assists over 30 a season, I doubt that very much.

he misses guilt edge chances more than enough in tight games in which we need to be clinical.

the whole team isn't good enough and hasn't been for the last 2 years there is not one player perhaps other than mc gregor who I would start on a regular basis - that is how much we are * - the blame rests with lennon and the board

fitness levels down, defending corners and free kicks we never learn - we are pathetic to watch and when we concede a goal the whole team crumbles - we lack leaders and desire to win.

a winger with a good touch, id expect that if he is a professional footballer on serious coin and been doing it his whole life, id go as far as saying any professional footballer should be very comfortable use both feet with a tight control.

Paddy Roberts before Forrest. Frimpong - the guy with single digit goals and assists - instead of Forrest.

    * this I’m out.

If Forrest was as good as everyone says he is, then why is he called James, and not something like Jaminho?

Can't think of one single good player for Celtic who was called James, especially not a winger.

Don’t think anyone has said he’s a problem, plenty have said he’s not as good as people think though. Two different subjects.

Hes one of few players who when he's played these 2 or 3 games has made something happen or been in the right attacking position.

Ok he hasn't converted but for me it shows his importance to us as an attacking side.

    Least of our worries.
