It's a stunningly beautiful place Scuzzy. the place is also superb for nature, great for going a wee walk, or just sitting soaking up the scenery.

I did a Butterfly Watch in my garden, taking frequent cover in the shade from the Heat.
The highlight was my first ever Dark Green Fritillaries for my garden:84: Several flew past me but teased me badly refusing to land.
    Also seen Holly Blue,Large White,Small White,Purple Hairstreak,Comma,Ringlet,Red Admiral,Gatekeeper And Meadow Brown.
A hunting Sparrowhawk caused a stir and Swifts and Swallows were overhead.
Ruby Roo came out at her tea time to remind me:84:

Feel terrible :54: We were sitting out tonight at the front drive and we saw what we thought was a wasp flying in and out of a tiny hole on the old stone wall. I says to hubby I hope that isn't building a nest there because we wont be able to sit here with wasps flying around. The strange thing was it kept coming out and returning with a leaf each time. Hubby decided to wait until it left and he sprayed the wall around the entrance. When it returned it obviously twigged something was off and didn't go in. Later on I decided to investigate what type of wasp would behave like that and I discovered that it was in fact a leaf cutter bee :87: quite harmless and only wanting to build a nest for its eggs :55:I'm so mad at myself for not checking before we sprayed :48::48:

Never had so many Flowers in my garden this year so no surprise I had a record 11 species of Butterfly in my garden yesterday.
Forgot to mention I also had a Speckled Wood Butterfly as well yesterday.
And in the The early evening I had 4 Purple Hairstreak Butterfies chasing each other on the top of my Oak Tree. :84:

Yeah was thinking that myself. Even some of the most picturesque places on earth aren’t safe from flytipping *.

First cool morning for 10 days so me and Ruby Roo went to the local Beach and Headland early this morning for a good 2 hours.
Very quiet as such,a couple of Herons getting harassed a bit by Herring Gulls either end of the Beach. 80 Starlings, mostly born this year with a few adults feeding on the beach either side of the main Spit, also a dozen plus Pied Wagtails doing the same, again mostly born this year.
Not much Wader action yet, just 2 Oystercatcher and 2 Curlew.
On the Headland a proud pair of Stonechat were with 2 recently fledged young and one of the resident Peregrines was overhead.
And yes Ruby Roo had good fun and a good run and play on the beach:84:

Brilliant good Friend. Caroline and I were saying the same thing when we were at Ardmore Point on Monday. There wasn't much wader action there either.
