He played well the other night but I still hope we move him on. I'd be amazed if he signed a contract with us. After his performances last season and the fact he thinks he's better than a Celtic player.

He has the odd moment of magic but he's too inconsistent to have such an ego. I'd happily move him onto the EPL if I thought he had reached his potential here obviously for a decent fee but he hasn't.

I wouldn't have a clue (as usual) but I'd love to think his performance the other night was inspired by his conversations with Ange about his status as a potential Celtic legend and a newfound desire to make that potential real.

He has the ability, just needs the attitude - and maybe the right manager can inspire that?

    Time will tell.

A very optimistic take, and I suppose possible, but far more likely he's putting himself in the shop window. Last thing he needs is to be a bit part squad player before looking for a big free, much better to play great for few months and negotiate an out, either for small fee or pre-contract

Your take is more likely correct, but shouldn't he have been doing that last year also if he wanted away with a big payday?

Just maybe Ange is the difference...

Can you ask Ange to sort out the weather for us too? He's went too far today. Ask him for a few degrees cooler. We're Scots not Ozzie's.

If he just squeezes his cheeks a wee bit tighter should stop as much of the sun getting out.

Maybe he’s discovered that after last year he’s not as in demand as he thought he would be. Christie plays for himself

In all honesty you can see why Ange wants this given his performances whilst he has been here.

I really went off Christie last season but maybe that can change.

I went from liking him to hating him in the space of one season.

I was really adamant about wanting him out the door ASAP when last season formally ended.

My view on that has softened a bit.

Maybe he can turn it around.

Ange says give him another chance, I’m ok with that.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change! :boxing: :fear:

If he puts in the effort like last week and his earlier apperances then he's a real asset to the team, still worth trying to get him on a new deal anyway so he can't * off for free anytime soon.

Looks like bullshit to me but would be fantastic if he is committed to being here. Suits a pressing game.

Still doesn't want to be here IMO!
Take a little more than a couple decent performances to turn me

He might have no choice after last season... might need a good season to pick up interest he thinks he deserves... hopefully if he stays the Big man can get the best out of him..

Either way I think he will get game time under Ange,

I'd keep him if he gives it 100% and re-discovers his form. Big if though

Another player caught in the toxicity of last season. Some views completely over the top and some completely justified. I’ve been a fan of him, I’ve also hated on him but I firmly believe he was a victim of circumstance last season. As a player of anything, football, gaming, etc you want to be successful, win things and most importantly enjoy what you do. Last year every player in the team was going through the motions, what was happening on the training pitch was not happening on the pitch (or perhaps it was). I’m more than happy with him staying, as long as his presence doesn’t upset the balance of the squad. But I feel AP is a much better man manager than his predecessor, this I think will be one of the major differences this year and years to come.
