    That’s what the media are saying but I wouldn’t be surprised if we go for a couple of people in different roles.

    Giles works only in recruitment at Brentford because they got rid of their academy teams.

    Maloney is more of a coach so I wouldn’t be surprised if Maloney is the one to over see the style of play from academy to first time and Giles sets up the recruitment department.

    Ideally that would happen rather than just having Maloney trying to sort everything himself from the bottom up with no experience in that side of it.

    This club is a * disaster at the best of times, but they aren't that stupid to not realise what the DoF role actually is.
    He SHOULD have "too much" power.

    I think the DOF role has been shelved for now. There could be something to the Maloney rumours but I think we'll wait until January.

    Someone´s at the windup. Not a very good attempt either. The part about "too much power" is just that, the job is about power.
    Why appoint a DoF if he wouldn´t be given a high level of freedom to do things his way? Enter Neil Lennon...

    But I agree with you, it´s something the club could actually do. Scary stuff.
