He’s been in and around the Scotland setup so there must be something about him.

I think Hibs are entitled to believe they have a £4m player for sale. They have saw McGinn flourish in the EPL and they got buttons for him. We love to think our players are worth a good fee so why can’t another Scottish team have their barometer for their best stock.

As for the lad, I haven’t seen enough of him but what I have I’ve been impressed. He’s definitely not in the big name bracket the fans will want to see. We need to get a whole squad prepared for the CL and it is imperative that we try to keep experience to give us a chance. So I think talk of a Griffiths swap for him is very foolish and also saw Wee Henderson mentioned but I’d actually like to see him given a decent chance ahead of Christie.

Not particularly keen on Nisbet, especially for £4m. Most of the time I have seen him play he has been massively underwhelming and the fact he hardly scored in the second half of the season doesn’t bode well but he did have knack of scoring against them.

However if Ange decides he fancies signing him out of the Striker options put to him, then let’s get it done, no weeks or months of negotiating and he hasn’t had a preseason with us etc.

Given we have a new coach, wanting to play a certain brand of football we need players in as quickly as possibly to settle in and come out firing.

I quite like him, I'd take him.

Not really fussed about the cost, let the rat * who run the club worry about that.

His competition has been Lyndon Dykes, Oli McBurnie and Leigh Griffiths.

You mean the squad that contains the likes of Jack Hendry, Stephen O’Donnell, Lyndon Dykes, Scott McKenna etc?

Getting in that squad is hardly a sign that he’s a good player. The fact he can’t get a start ahead of Lyndon Dykes is actually a concern.

Exactly why you can't judge him on that..

He had Dykes starting before Adams
    McKenna before Cooper

Could go on but I like Nisbet..

    Fair.

Just don’t see it with Nisbet. From what I’ve seen he isn’t particularly quick or strong. By all accounts he’s not great outside the box.

Like I said before, if he was going to cost a couple million and play as 3rd choice then fine. But £4m? We can surely do better.

He is quite strong and pacey to be fair. I'd say they were 2 of his qualities from what I've seen of him..

It's his first touch and link up outside the box that would have to improve but he does have scope..

Can finish. Grafts like * also and can do it in our league as proven, against us also..

I wouldn't be paying 4 mill either by the way but at around 2.5 mill I'd deffo get him in as a squad type..

We won’t get him for 2.5 million but we should get him in and punt Ajeti

People saying we shouldn't pay 4m for him like it's coming out their pockets! :D

Would you prefer we buy 3 or 4 players from Eastern or Southern Europe at 2 million each and we never see them play?
I would take Nisbet, at least we know he can play and there is every chance he can go to the next level with us.
I much prefer that than some unknown project that never wears a Celtic top after his 'I just signed for Celtic' photo!

It is coming out of the fans pockets who do you think puts the most money into the club? :56:

We get next to nothing from winning the league and it’s season ticket sales, tickets from other games, merchandise etc.

So it’s coming out of the fans pockets.

Nothing to do with sponsor money or money from Europe that we keep * about every year as we don't go further then?

Also your comment doesn't change what I wrote!

Would you rather 'YOUR' money bought 3 or 4 players at 2m from Eastern or Southern Europe that never plays for the club or one or 2 guys that have actually scored goals in the SPL and you have even heard of?

There's no way we couldn't get better for 4 million in another country. Would take him for a million at a push. We need better

Agree we could probably get better elsewhere. But there's no chance we're getting him for a million, and to offer that would be an insult to say the least. Second top goalscorer in the league and just broke into the national team and scoring against Holland.

There’s * all reason Nisbett should be valued relative to McGinn.
