Zero risk. No fee. If wages are reasonable don't see the problem. I mean it's not as if we're notorious for developing youngsters is it?

Another reason to add to the ever growing list not to renew.

Not really zero risk, we sign him on a 2/3 year deal let’s say 10k a week, we do that with 5/6 players who are clearly not
Good enough and it’s a build up of * we can’t get rid of.

The club is notorious for this, rather we don’t buy more deadwood than the same old ah it’s zero risk etc sick and tiered of the club * money away.

Nobody is a certain thing. Lets buy a very highly rated Greece no1 keeper for £5m... and he became a donkey with no gloves... let's get big Duffy. An Irish International EPL experienced player going into his prime... worst signing ever.

Speaking to a few mackems they have said his confidence is quite fragile and when the crowd get at him he goes into his shell. Maybe partly explains why last season seems to have been an anomaly in his career so far. Could be a worry if he came here, unless he really hits the ground running.

So every zero risk signing has been great going with that logic?

Big Chris 7 million, Eddy 9 million, Turnbull 3 million plus add ons.

remember bloating our squad with Mulumbu, Gutman, Perez, Benyu, Kazim-Richards, Carlton Cole, we have bloated the squad in the past with * or maybe players.

even these free to million players, * I could be here all day putting them all in.

We need more quality than quantity at this moment in time. Would I rather save the wages and signing on fee for this guy and put it to better use for a first team ready player who will make us better it’s a no brainier.

The time of Lawwell * deals should be over.

Did I say that? I said also not all big money signings are good. Signing a guy who just scored a barel load is normally a good shout. Signing a guy for cheap whos never scored bangura style is *.

What the *! Give the man a chance on a free and lowish wages and who knows! Could be a super sub for end game when we need to pump balls into the box route one! Ill support anyone and give anyone a chance till they prove they dont deserve it!

It implied that, not all no risk signings are good either and bloat the squad.

Rather we signed better quality than someone who has had a one off season scoring like he did.

Bar last seasons fluke his goal scoring record is *, he struggled in league two for * sake.

Sort of signing we need imo, it’s a squad game that was our issue last season, the management refused to utilise the full squad, your name was on the team sheet if you were in form or not just because of who you were.

Getting players on free transfers that fills spaces where we are threadbare I’m more than happy for that.

Celtic are reportedly stepping up their interest in Charlie Wyke after the Sunderland star became a free agent.

The 28-year-old forward looks set to leave The Black Cats after their failed bid to escape League One this term.

The Northern Echo report that Celtic Park now looks like his likeliest destination.

They claim that senior officials from the Glasgow club spoke with Wyke and his representatives last week, and “sources suggest the Teessider would prefer to move to Parkhead than sign for a club in the Championship.”

See being honest I am now at the point where if we are going to sign him, just get it done so we can get on to bringing in others and not wasting more time.

I have no faith that Wyke will deliver or anything like that but he’s a league 1 free agent, if we genuinely want him just get it done or come out and say we ain’t interested.
