I haven’t been able to find the rules for Scotland but the EFL and EFA have made it easier to get players such as this since brexit. All to do with a points system.

It’s at this time we should be looking forward to our scouting department working over time at the euros in constant dialogue with management team and club to unearth a gem oh wait… we have neither a scouting team nor a manager.

Sydney Van Hooijdonk anyone? Out of contract at the end of the month and has absolutely ripped it up in the Dutch league this year.

The only reasonable Australian that Ange would go for straight up could be Maty Ryan. He's suited to anges style. A known quantity. But whether that area in Anges priority is a different story.

Only 21 though, seems to know where the goal is and looks likely a few teams in the Eredivise are wanting to take a punt on him. I think you need to ask him the question either way. With Eddy, Griff and Paddy all away and Bayo unlikely to make it here, it means we have Ajeti left. Bring him in as a replacement for Paddy and see how he gets on. Low risk, high reward. His old man would be buzzing if he got an offer from us too.

    Definitely Mooy.

If I was Ange, in a hurry but cautious not to go for more than one Aussie for starters...Mooy every time.

Has a Scottish wife and kids who (I think) lives in Scotland so massive non-football reason to come. Has two or three great seasons left in him.

Can play 6 or 8 - has had a brilliant few seasons for Hudds and Brighton.

Think he has work permit issues cause of brexit. Im sure a few championship clubs tried to get him in jan and couldnt complete the deal cause of work permit

I'm sure we have a better system for work permits in Scotland.

We do have a better system. It’s easier to get a work permit up here than down south.

One of the easier parts is would they enhance the league or reputation or something along those lines. Which would not be the case for Van Hooijdonk.

But there are other cases I’m sure which would help him if we tried to sign him.

Eli Dasa the right full back for Israel, always looked very assured both defensively and can play going forward.

Currently playing in Holland so surely a deal can be done.

Both full backs should be one of the first positions recruited, especially if the new guys tactics involve high energy pressing and width.

    He has always impressed me.

Looks a very solid reliable player and like you say seems good attacking wise and defensively.

Vitesse Who he played with had a good season last year. They have a couple of ex Ajax players at CB Doehki and Bazoer who can also play CDM are both good players that wouldn’t cost a lot.

Bazoer in particular was very highly rated as a youngster but moved to Wolfsburg for a decent fee (£10mish) and ended up playing right wing before a failed move to Porto but he’s back playing well since moving to Vitesse and back in a more defensive role.

Dasa is one of they players who always plays so well when I have seen him. He has absolutely held his own up against Andy Robertson a few times now when we have played Israel and on occasion, looked the better fullback. Would definitely take him

Spanish midfielder Javi Martinez, 32, is willing to listen to all types of offers as he prepares to leave Bayern Munich. (Mundo Deportivo - in Spanish)

Attitude absolutely stinks apparently. Thinks the world owes him a living, but like a French midfielder we have on our books currently......
