Maybe if we hadn't played eddy all season our other strikers would be fit or even that crazy idea of two up front. Look at the * we ended up in letting all our best keepers leave.

It's really not, it's how many actual players will we be left with if we punt them all?

Griffiths value is non existent to any side I doubt hibs would’ve knocked much off the value of nisbet for a 31 year old who can’t get fit and can’t play more than 1/3 of the season.

So Griff is another one leaving the club?

Thanks for the positive memories wee man, one of my favourite players at times in a Celtic jersey, but by * what an absolute waste of a jersey he is and has been for far too long.

    Adios.

I’ll be gutted if he’s still here next season.

Right move, if the comments are accurate.

A sensational season 5 years ago with 30 odd league goals. Rodgers didn't really fancy him much(wanted more from him off the ball) and but still contributed a decent return behind Dembele and Eddie.

Like Brown, its time to move on.

I think unless we bring in two strikers capable of 20+ goals then aye.

Looking moot now anyway, seems like he's gone. It's a pity I don't trust the club to bring in adequate replacements.

You know the last time Griffiths hit 20+ goals was 15/16 season...

I think getting rid of him is a stupid decision given the shape of our current squad.

he's not been a regular starter since that 15/16 season, when rodgers came in it was dembele and then eddie as our solo striker

and we played 4231 for the majority of the time

56 goals in 154 games doesn't seems that good but how many of them were substitute appearances ? i added it up sad * that i am lol 74 of the 154 games he came on as a sub

probably right his time is up and is time for him to move on, he was always gonna play 2nd fiddle to them two brilliant strikers probably * him mentally knowing he wasnt gonna oust them, probably should have moved on earlier

Bottom line is someone far cheaper will be more than capable to fill his boots. We've gone above and beyond supporting him, and it's time to move on.

My only doubt is that it would mean another player leaving but after what I've seen over the past few seasons, is that necessarily a bad thing? Is losing too many players a reason to keep one's that aren't really offering much? I'm now starting to think * it, what do they actually offer us? Griffiths is now easily replaceable and financially, we'd be better off for it.

I really rate Griffith but he has to mature and be responsible for the past years of his career or he'll end up like many Scottish players with talent that don't keep themselves for and hungry.

I fear the club have lost faith in his ability to be professional and keep his fitness at a high level.

He'll either be an Aberdeen player or Hibs player unless he does the unthinkable and actually changes his ways which is extremely difficult at his age with his history.

I'd love to see him prove everyone wrong but is there any point keeping him if he continues not to play or not to be fit to play?

In an ideal world he would be 100% professional playing and scoring most weeks and in the Scotland squad at the euros but he's basically screwed up his career and it's a long way back.

Over 100 goals for a player that cost about a million pound. Similar to Stokes too.

They have their problems but the amount of * we have signed between that time, only Dembele and Edouard have been better in the last 10 years.

Hopefully he can get his mind right. I wish him all the best.
