He was politely asked to go on his own accord before he was pushed.

Ronny was a likeable guy but far too naive and tactically inflexible in his time here. In his interviews since he's acknowledged that himself.

Couldn't hand on my heart swear to this, however I think it was about 1-6. Still massive favourites and achieved nothing more than we should have done but not 98% guaranteed.

Options for manager i'd look at.
Alex Neil, Mike Tullberg, Xabi Alonso, Martín Demichelis, Thomas Letsch, Michael Reiziger, Christian Poulsen, John Terry, Luis García (Mallorca).

Nah, they were never that long odds mate.
    .
Here's an article from 2012 that said we were 1/33 and some bookies had us 1/5 to win the next 3 titles (12/13 - 14/15)

Was this true though or just people summarising? At the time I felt like he was maybe pushed but he did publicly state he chose to leave

I think we have more pressing issues ..like where the eff are we even in terms of negotiations with Ange? Does he even want the job? Ha

Because in your reply before hand you thought the board shouldn’t be held to task because we don’t know the in and outs I believe Howe dragged us along that doesn’t excuse how the board allowed it

If the board * it by calling negotiations short would the support have accept that? Probably not, at times they are on a hiding to nothing

I’m sure then releasing a statement that Howe didn’t want to come would have sufficed

I don't think you can qualify someone to lead our club by that very simplistic quota -
Maradonna, Van Basten and even Nasser Al-johar all managed in a world cup. Doesn't mean any of them are it were ever good enough to be Celtic manager.

Yeah this. Deila was also robbed of a treble some people forget.

We also went on an incredible run of clean sheets under him or am I mistaken? Deila was not a massive flop by any stretch.

Like I said I couldn't exactly remember mate. I think the answer will lie somewhere in between 1-50 and 1-6. The "some bookies" thing really means nothing. To get a genuine view of how the market is actually forming you need to look at the exchanges ( not that I would ever take a position on a next manager market.) Some guy said yesterday this guy was 1-9 to get the job so I looked on Betfair and you could back him at 7-10 if you wanted to so he wasn't 1-9.

So by that logic you would gamble on Nasser Al-johar too?

    This is true.

Still, despite being somewhat of a likeable guy, his football on the most part was boring flat *, had Aberdeen up his * for most of the time in 2nd place, and capitulated against a newco team in the cup.

Overall? Yes. Won two league titles.

But who couldnt have done that...
