It’s only been thrown at him because he may have been a hun supporter as a child, and has hun family.

We would be lucky to get half of that at the moment.

Nah no chance, maybe if he had a year left on his contract but that's not the case. We'd get at least 20 from an English club.

Don’t see it myself but if we did get that sort of offer, I would be biting their hand off.

Anyone seen the article with Mark Guidi predicting McGregor to Leceister? I honestly wouldn't be that bothered if he moved on for the right money.

I do think he's a quality player but maybe now would be the best time to clear the decks and start again 100%. He would command a good fee as he's got a decent contract and the money could help our rebuild.

Rodgers tried to sign him the summer he joined Leicester city but basically got told to * off.

I wouldn't be surprised if he tried again to sign him, someone he genuinely loves as a player.

Rodgers and Leicester would offer in the 15 million ballpark I would imagine, maybe a bit more. Whatever the case, I wouldn’t be completely opposed to selling him if he gets us a nice wedge of cash to put back into the squad. He’s been insanely good for us at times, but he’s definitely dropped off and he’s easier replaced than others who’ll be leaving in the summer and he certainly wouldn’t be my pick as captain were he to stay.

How much to replace the player? We can rub our hands at fees that are big for us but to clear out our quality would be a bad move.

No way we should be selling McGregor this summer unless the player himself does not want to stay then fair enough. Yes McGregor was poor last season but so was almost the whole team and given he will be 28 when the new season starts the next 3-4 years should be his peak career years. Given what he has done up to now in his Celtic career McGregor is one of the players I would want to be building around not selling. He has also proven to be ridiculously durable for the modern game and that is not something to gloss over lightly either.

We're already needing to replace 9-10 players, losing Mcgregor this summer would be catastrophic.

if he's adamant on leaving, maybe even agree a verbal deal to let him go next summer, but we cannot lose him this summer.

Would be mad to sell him.

Just as mad as people judging him over a poor season with Lennon and Kennedy as his coaches.

McGregor doesn’t get anywhere near that Leicester midfield, IMO.

Can’t see him leaving but if he does it’ll be to the bottom half of EPL at best

    You’re insane.

Even if he hasn’t kicked a ball for two years, which is a bullshit generalisation anyway, the common denominator is the clown in the dugout that was ‘organising’ the team.

We’d be off our * heads to sell a player of McGregors quality.

I'm just thinking if he wants a new challenge and we are doing a massive overhaul already maybe it would be the best time to start fresh.

I think he's a class player but truth is he's nowhere near the level he was under Rodgers He use to be a massive attacking threat not anymore.

I wouldn’t call it a bullshit generalisation tbh.

He’s been rank rotten. I don’t want to sell him but I don’t want him as club captain either.

The guy gets a very easy ride from the support compared to some of his teammates....

We're already starting fresh, we have 1 full-back and a squad at its lower limits. With the amount of talent we are going to be losing this summer it's imperative we keep hold of whoever we can. Calmac is top of that list.

I'm not saying I want rid of him I'm sure he can turn the last season around but if the rumour he wants out has any substance then he has to be moved on while we can get a decent fee for him.
