There are a lot more variables to Griffiths' situation than most other strikers. But the one season he was played most games from the start as a striker, he got 40+. Albeit that is an exceptional amount, and I wouldn't expect many strikers to do the same. But he at least has proven himself.

22 goals, with 5(?) being penalties is ordinary. There are of course exceptions. Like Sutton was more about hold up and assists, so you don't expect him to get over 20. Or if we have 3 or more strikers getting utilised like when we had Sammy, Keane, McDonald, Fortune etc all sharing game time.

Anyway, I don't want to lambast Eddy. He has youth on his side and, with experience, his decision making may improve. So good luck to him. I just don't think he did well enough this season, and he needs a different environment to thrive.

He asked to be left out of our games either side of an Under 21s international break and played both games for France during the break. That should tell you enough where his loyalties lie.

On the park he couldn't make it any more obvious that he's half-arsing it. His demeanor has been atrocious.

Lennon was under pressure, incensed fans were gathering outside the stadium to protest and he was grinning as he blazed a ball over the bar from 5 yards out, as we were getting beat.

A captain of yesteryear would've taken him aside and gave him a slap.

I heard the debate on that as well, it is certainly an interesting argument the stats guy made on the podcast.

I have to say I have found myself saying on several occasions Edouard of last year scores there. No doubt there will be a bit of bias from me in there but for example that Scottish cup semi versus them Edouard last year has two or three goals rather than none.

I do think some of that is more down to how he has played this year versus last rather than a lack of effort. He definitely is a confidence player you only need to look to the second half of last year when he was flying he couldn’t miss, that’s not been the case this year.

In all honesty see prior to COVID last year I thought enjoy this as he won’t be here next year and still believe it COVID hadn’t happened we would have got the big fee we were looking for last summer and he would have been off.

Bobby Petta... he was shite now he's betta
He had a * season and didn't turn up... there is that but then again that describes the majority of the team tbh.

Sad to see him leave like this, was a cracking player for us.

If he signed a new deal tomorrow everyone would be swearing they always stood by him mate :56:

22 goals and 5 assists in 38 games isn’t that bad.

18 goals, 4 assists in 30 in the league.

Definitely leaving then, not that there was any doubt about that.

I suppose it could be read that way, but it seems more likely that it'll be Edouard who is leaving.

Think he should leave anyway. He's obviously a fantastic player but his heart isn't here. I think he would suit Arsenal as they seem to have a thing for the type of player he is....French and frustrating most of the time.
