Never in a million years happening without fans owning 50%+1 of the PLC.

There are Capital Investment Firms involved with us that would make sure profits were maximised above all else.

I wouldnt really care if huns were asked to join along with us but on at least one condition.
None of the referees or linesman that would referee our matches against them are from Scotland. EVER.

Yes 100% time we stopped propping up scottish football and stopped caring about the rest of the clubs. Time they stand on theyre own feet without us, we are going nowhere in scotland so its time plus belgium and holland have merged leagues aswell

Difference between this news now than all the other times is it’s the English that are actively talking about it not here it’s them releasing stories that they want it

I have noticed that.. seems the smaller clubs too.. saw Moyes bumping his gums about it the other day.. thinks its a great idea..

I have a feeling we are closer to this than we think.. And that super league put the * up the English..Sky will say, "you want the Glasgow two" or "the super league 6 to leave?" No brainer for the English

It does seem to have a different vibe than normal when they talk about a new British League system, I think the 14 teams that were being left out of the ESL are now looking to secure the future for themselves and having a two league EPL set up with 18 or 20 teams in each reduces there games and gives an opportunity to invite us and Der-Hun, In initially, then a restructure of all the lower leagues to form a British league pyramid system with promotion all the way up to EPL 1 whether your Scottish, Welsh, Irish or English league

it will need to happen this way or your creating a closed shop just as the ESL was

Quick question as I'm not really an English football fan..

Can the Premier league do what they want in terms of structure, relegation, promotion as they are a separate entity from the English league?

So basically they can change it once the teams in the Premier league agree on it through a vote..think that's what I got ha

Yeah looks that way to me mate, they changed the playoffs and number of teams a few years back but had to negotiate bigger parachute payments.

Sound.. if it goes to a vote judging by that I wouldn't be too confident of getting in but then I'd imagine the TV money mainly sky I presume would offer a sweetener.. If that's what sky wants of course..

Interesting times.. but definitely seems to be a softening on the idea down south

I think the thinking behind it is get them in pump up the money and subs for sky keeps the six longer and if they do leave later on still got a few solid sides to hold the league and keep the interest an insurance policy if you like

This is it in a nutshell for me. I agree 100%.

Celtic have succeeded as a club in spite of Scottish football and Scottish society as a whole.

We owe them nothing. And the sooner we rid ourselves of the current status quo the better, in my opinion.
