What’s your point caller? The competitions not called the ‘Harder to Finish 4th in a Good League League’ is it?

Naw - it’s the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. The pinnacle of the club pyramid system... and ‘Champions’ from many leagues have been hamstrung forever.

... and why are Govts getting involved in this? FIFA / UEFA are (allegedly) ‘non political’.

    My *!

How do Uefa make money through the domestic leagues?

And anyway, the decision to kick the 6 EPL teams out of the EPL will reside with the national associations, not Uefa.

    It's obvious ain't it?

No more * games vs * teams in * stadiums who bring fewer fans than us, better facilities, less * officiating, better away days, more rivalries, more money, better standard, more appeal for better players and coaches, and so on

UEFA won't get to decide if the teams are still allowed to play in their current domestic leagues.

Yeah, some cracking Super Duper Sunday games v Burnley, West Brom, Brighton, Wolves, Crystal Palace, Southampton etc.

Without the "Big Six" it would practically be a glorified Championship with nowhere near the same level of money. In fact most of these clubs will go bust when Sky has to drastically reduce its expenditure on a league nobody will be interested in when all the big boys * off.

It's also a horrible Gammon fest down there. No thanks.

    For me....

THIS... the government getting involved and threatening legislation to stop a ‘proposed’ business venture..... is far more disturbing than the actual European Super League itself...

If a football club wanted to just cease operating and change sport or become an events venue... would they be interfering then?

    I despair of this nation.

For who? A lot of our fans who attend games just now would probably struggle to finance going down South every second weekend on top of the cost of their season ticket for home games.

I answered the post under the impression it would include the selfish six.

Still, games against Leicester, Everton, West Ham, Wolves, Palace, Newcastle, Leeds, Villa and some of the teams you mentioned would be far more interesting than 95% of the games we play now. What's a gammon fest?
For the fans that would be able to go then, I guess?

    Why not Blackburn Rovers?

They have at least won the EPL.

I don't know if it would be such a massive deal in all honesty. Think if it happened fans would find a way to travel regardless.

If/When 'the big 6' leave the EPL the EPL will fall flat on it's * within a couple of years many of the clubs would die imo as the funding would be massively reeled in. The league needs these 6 clubs more than the 6 clubs needs the league and both will be aware of this

No doubt, would it still be better than the SPFL though? I think so.

There would be ones that find a way, a lot would struggle though. Not just from a financial point of view either. A day out for the football would turn into a weekend away.
