Well deserved from Matsuyama. He has played some incredible golf.

Delighted for MacIntyre as well. Great debut from him and buzzing that he got the place for next years Masters. Special talent and can definitely see him going far in the game. Future major winner for sure imo.

A strong challenge from one of the chasing pack and Matsuyama blows that in my opinion. Poor choice of shot off the tee and for his second at 13 but got away with both them and ended up making birdie, then a poor choice of shot for his second on 15 but didn't get so lucky with that one. His caddie was either not doing his job, or Matsuyama wasn't listening. Schauffele handed the trophy to Matsuyama with his tee shot on 16, he had a great opportunity to really ramp up the pressure and to stick it in the water is unforgivable. Matsuyama's brilliance on Saturday meant he was a deserved winner, he was choking back 9 yesterday though, but there was nobody capable of putting in a proper challenge.

Definitely. Trying not to take anything away from that win of course but you're right.

Rahm showed how to play a final day, maybe with less pressure he was able to go out and shoot that 66 but shows that it was do-able. Schauffele will be playing that 16th over and over again in his head for a long time to come, what a sickener. Spieth coulda been up there too but for his poor start. I'll cut the young lad some slack, runner up on your debut, epic.

I didn't expect Zalatoris to mount a serious challenge, but out of all the chasing pack he probably played the most solid golf. I agree regarding Rahm, he had the round that one of the boys needed that were in striking distance of Matsuyama. As you say, no real pressure on Rahm so that will have played a factor. Schauffele missed a massive opportunity in my opinion. With him playing alongside Matsuyama, he was the one that could really pressure and turn it into a matchplay scenario, but he played himself out of it front 9 by dropping 4 shots in 3 holes, then managed to string a run together to claw himself back in it, only to put himself pout of contention one shot later on 16. Fair play to Matsuyama, he deserved the trophy after doing all the hard work on Saturday and the front 9 yesterday.

    Just cant get enough
Read that Matsuyama’s caddie is basically just his mate that carries the bag for him. He’s not a professional caddie and Matsuyama does all his own yardages etc. I reckon a proper caddie would have advised against playing the shots he did.
Ended up much closer than it should have.

Schauffele crumbles when it matters most... again. I could never trust him with my money. I’m a little surprised Matsuyama got it over the line in the end because he’s of a similar ilk but Schauffele handed it to him really. It’s a pity (for me) Spieth wasn’t closer up going into Sunday.

Overall, class tournament as usual. I loved the conditions. It put a massive emphasis on “touch”.

Aye the commentators were saying that last night. They did say he was a good golfer though, so he obviously understands the game and he would have known the situation Matsuyama was in. If I could see he was silly to take driver off 13, then go for the green, and that he should have been laying up on 15, then surely his caddie knew it as well. Maybe he did and Matsuyama wasn't listening though.

When we play you often hear us say "that's a Liz McColgan that one" or a "Sally Gunnell" - doesn't look great but it will run like *

Mate just sent me these :56: Diego I've used before but plenty new ones. Had a couple of Elton John's midweek
