Who does like being confronted by an angry shouty manager? If my manager got shouty at me rather than constructive criticism I'd down tools and do the bare minimum not to get sacked.

What percentage are you certain this won't happen. Cause I'm 100% got the fear it's gonna be Keane.

For all those who fawn over the betting market:

SkyBet are the only ones taking bets right now. Keane @ 1/2

BetFair, PP, BetVictor and WH have all pulled the market in the last hour

I honestly think the Huns would be delighted if we sign Keane as manager, I do however think that if he can bring Nicky * in as head or assistant coach, by all accounts, * is good with the players

So far, the only place that's reported anything involving Keane getting the job is Football Insider, that's it, the rest of the papers are just mentioning his odds dropping, with one or two quoting football insider.

Football Insider have never been reliable for us. Desmond himself pretty much came out recently saying we weren't finished with the search. I don't think there's any real need to worry just yet.

The tabloids have been utterly useless regarding rumours for us this season, only in January, Sky reported that we signed a pre-contract with Ben Davies, until suddenly we didn't. The mirror had Rafa Benitez replacing Lennon out of nowhere, then suddenly he didn't. The Record had us in for a pre-contract deal with Robbie Brady which was essentially a "done deal", rumours which have been pretty much died down/debunked.

I've no doubt our Incompotent board have interviewed him, but until more concrete rumours start coming out, rather than a Micah Richards tweet and * Football Insider, there's no real reason to worry.

I will stop the joking and respond appropriately....

I am pretty certain it’s not going to happen as he was not the number one choice. Was told he did interview very well though which I’m not surprised at as he does talk a good game.

It is also worth noting that any appointment requires Board approval. People are quick to panic thinking he is Desmonds man and therefore he will get the job. It’s not as simple as that...

I think that I will have a nervous breakdown if we appoint Keane on the same day that we announce that Brown is leaving.

Keane wouldn’t be my choice, but if it’s him he’s getting my 100% backing.

I cannot support the appointment of Keane (if it is him)

We would be hiring a * Sky pundit to manage Celtic Football Club.

A guy who's so so far out of touch with the ins and outs of the modern game it makes Lennon look like Pep.

Yeh I totally agree however, in the 60's and 70's, there were a few managers who presence struck the fear of death into their players. We all know the stories about Alex Fergusson's "hairdryer" moment or Big Jock chasing wee Jinky up the tunnel at Parkhead etc and they didn't do too badly but, as I said, that approach would be frowned upon in this day and age.

It’s not so much it would be frowned upon, it just that it wouldn’t work these days. The dynamic has totally changed.
