**I've been asked to post this, if the member wants his name shared I will do that.**

I appreciate that this is a very serious topic but I am desperate for some advice. My wife has just been diagnosed with type 4 cancer. She has a cancerous tumour in her bowel which has also spread to her liver. She starts chemo on Tuesday however, someone told me to get her CBD oil and another person said I should get her apricot kernels. So, has anyone else heard of these remedies or knew someone who tried them (and if they helped) and does anyone else have any advice on what I should try ? Thanks

Firstly I wish your wife all the luck going and wish Her, You and your family all the best at what must be a truly scary time.

I imagine we would all look for something else to do that might help our partners etc but I would urge you to Please follow the doctors/consultants advice and talk to them about the above while I'm not going to dismiss alternative remedies, please don't give up on what the doctors advise for her treatment in favour of an alternative remedy. (Not saying that's what you will do or are considering but just want to say that). Keep talking to the Doc's/Nurses, especially about any recommendations you find that is said to be a remedy or a cure, as they will have vastly more experience in this than anyone else and will be able to discuss it with you and your Wife.
Sorry I can't be more help than that.

As Tim says mate, use all the alternative remedies you want but always go with doctors advice first and foremost.

CBD oil is meant to be good. Has to be the Real McCoy though I think.

Good luck pal and best wishes to your better half :shamrock:

All the best to you and your wife.

As other posters have said, follow the advice of her doctors. Looking after her general health can only help, too, I am sure, so make sure that she is eating, drinking, and sleeping properly. I am sorry that I cannot recommend any specific treatments.

Can highly recommend your wife speaks with the McMillan Trust. They are brilliant at offering help and support and can help with finances if needed.

@Wee Baldy so sorry to hear this. As others have said ask for advice but listen to what they are advising.

As @Sean Daleer says, AND oil gets great reviews but, it does need to be the real deal.

CBD oil is good for aches and pains, but even the stuff you get off the shelf in the UK isn’t even strong enough for that - unfortunately you’d need to know someone who is selling pure extract (not exactly legal).

Whoever you are, sorry to hear about the news and I wish you and your mrs all the best :shamrock:

I'm not sure how good CBD oil is but see big Hartson saying it really helps him with pain. If looking for it you could get it from the person he gets it from.

I second this. I do some work with Macmillan and always recommend this service after hearing about it. If your wife’s already been assigned a cancer nurse specialist then they’ll be able to point her in the right direction for Macmillan support.

Really sorry to hear about the diagnosis and hope things go as well as they can.

Not sure if hartsons code oil has the right amount of THC is it not like the stuff from Holland and Barrett? Very low THC, the real stuff is very expensive and meant to work really well , might not cure it but studies shown it gives people years more in life but others will know more than me.

Lost a good pal recently to cancer, I hope your wife beats this mate all the best her and you and the family

l'm currently going through it for a third time with my wife and it looks like she has beaten it again. As been said previously speak to the McMillan nurses, these people are worth their weight in gold and most patient and helpful. If there is any supplements that can help your wife they will advise you of it.

Best wishes to both you and your wife @Wee Baldy
