Really? Could you expand on that? I never took him for thinking he was above it all or that, just that he was a lazy, lazy *.

Was given a 1/10 in the french media for the game he got subbed at half time :56: and he’s not even in the squad tonight... maybe this will be the making of him if he realises he actually needs to work hard.

Lol, he might well have thought that, but little did he realise it would be the pinnacle of his career. Guy is destined for mediocrity, and his stinking attitude is a large part of why that will be the case.

I’ll never forget the range of passing he displayed when he first arrived. Thought we had scooped an absolute class act. What a shame.

    Same. Hard to believe now.

You almost wonder why he moved to us.

When you think of his first season for us or his goal in Rome it makes you wonder just what the * has happened to him. Has he became bored of Scottish football and think he's too good for us and deserves a move to somewhere better or, like many of our players, just went totally off the boil? Anyway, he's been totally found out over there and maybe, after a bit of soul searching, he might just get his act together and come back to us with a whole different attitude as, after all, we are looking at bringing the "new all improved version" of Jack Henry back after his miraculous improvement.

When was this? What games in particular was he a class act?

Imo his passing, shooting and delivery has always been erratic at best, tackling, decision making, attitude and aplication utterly abysmal. He has put in the very occasional above average performance but only in good team performances.

I agree. Been underwhelmed with him from the start. Can't remember ever seeing this great player others talk about. A few good moments - very few good games.

He had a couple of really good performances against the huns in his first season.

I'd agree. Definitely remember being very impressed with his passing ability when he arrived. Can't for the life of me remember which games, might even have been pre-season, but one of them might have been a Hearts game.

Anyway that seems forever ago. I'm all for punting him now. Or worst case hopefully we only gave him a one-way ticket.

He’s pish. The fact he couldn’t get in our starting 11 proves that. A past it Brown, out of form Calmac and want away Christie kept him out the team with ease. Always flattered to deceive when he was given a chance.

Despite all of this, he thinks he’s a cut above and too good for Celtic/Scottish Football. Not surprising to hear he isn’t cutting the mustard over in France.

Anyone who still thinks he’s a ‘pler’ needs their eyes tested pronto.

The 1-0 game v the huns in September 2018 where he got the winner, he was outstanding. Composed, tenacious, forced McGregor into a save right before his eventual winner.

I thought at that point he was really going to kick on to be our main CM.

How wrong was I. He's done very little for us in the almost 3 years since, bar that winner in Rome.

Have to slightly disagree there mate. I think he was decent in what was an overall very good team performance that day, 1-0 going on 3 or 4. Good, lung bursting run for the goal and some flashes of strength and composure on the ball, which is an aspect of his game that can't be faulted, but outstandingwould be a bit of a stretch imo.

For me, the only time he looked anything above average was when the team played well as a whole.
