    I think we should go full Italian. Get the Italian scout Tognozzi in. Bring in an Italian manager from Serie A. Pay him top dollar. Box office signings. The Italians are also good at defending. Something we are not. It would be a perfect match.

    My vote would still be Potter at Brighton. Surely he would fancy another crack at Europe

    Not recruitment. I’d hope we’d have a system in place to help him.

    I like him as a guy but not even watched Sheffield Utd all season. He’s certainly not my first choice.

    I thought Maresca was Spanish. Didn’t realise he was Italian.

    My shortlist would be (not necessarily in order);

    • Eddie Howe
    • Graham Potter- looks to play good football. Did very well at Ostersund in Sweden getting them promotions from the fourth division all the way to the top flight and getting into the Europa League where they also did well. Some achievement.
    • Jindřich Tripišovský (Slavia Prague Manager- Has done very well domestically and in Europe with limited resource. Looks to play good quick attacking football with pressing.
    • Enzo Maresca- untested and inexperienced as the main man but must have something about him if Pep wanted him at Man City. Anyone I have heard speak about him rates him really highly. He clearly has a football philosophy and a way he wants to play. Might be a gamble but he clearly has a system and a way he wants to play unlike Lennon did.

    I was also trying to think of other names that have experience/fit the style we are looking for and maybe haven’t been mentioned;
    • Sarri- an optimistic one definitely but looks to play good high tempo football and players are very well drilled in his system. Wonder if Tognozzi from Juve came in as DOF if he would be interested? Optimistic but who realistically seen Rodgers coming when he did? I have seen him do some interviews when he was at Chelsea in English but also some with a translator. Unlikely one but a big name currently without a club.
    • Leonardo Jardim- I find it strange that no one has went for him since leaving Monaco? Did great in his first spell at Monaco then had a second spell when Thierry Henry was sacked. Another who has a clear system that he looks to implement.

    If Potter is the answer we’re in serious trouble.

    Bha, despite the silky football hype, are in no better position than when Hughton left, and it’s possible they’re weaker in a number of areas atm

    Yes his teams have a structure and clear philosophy, but he’s got the personality of a flip flop, can’t coach to convert chances and would get eaten alive up by dodgy refs and hun type behaviour.

    Just look at his reaction to the disallowed Dunk free kick against WBA, or the last min winner CPFC scored recently. Very much rabbits in headlights!!

    Potter would be a worse signing from Brighton than Duffy

    I have said it before, but The Barnsley manager is doing amazing stuff with the squad he has..... they were favorites to go down and are in 6th place, they have won their last 7 games

    The previous Barnsley manager is good too. Struber. Was immense with Wolfsberger then took over Barnsley last year and kept them up against the odds. Manages New York Red Bull now.

    Definitely no to Roy Keane :giggle1:

    Steve Clarke would have us well drilled but I don’t think he would come and I think there is better options out there. He has done a great job with Scotland getting us to the Euros and he would be stupid to leave before taking part in the tournament imo.

    He said he can’t be bothered with the sectarian nonsense that would come with the job so I can’t see it happening.

    We need to get someone in now preferably or very soon to start the rebuild we simply can’t wait for Clarke if he would consider it and nor should we.
