    Alternatively:

Helped stabilise Liverpool after their torrid spell under Roy Hodgson, winning their first trophy in 6 years and making it to another final.

Led West Brom to their highest ever Premier League points total and their highest league finish since 1981. Was then sacked despite winning their first game at old Trafford for 35 years with the club outside of the relegation zone.

Took reading to their first FA cup semi final in 88 years and turned down an approach from Fulham despite it being a better job at the time.

Admittedly, he had a poor spell at Aston Villa but they were a bit of a basket case at the time.

Led a Scotland team that had been pumped off Kazakhstan, Russia and Belgium a year earlier to their first major finals in 22 years with 2 extremely solid defensive performances.

You’ve also quite intentionally left out his spells as Kilmarnock manager and Chelsea assistant.

As Killie manager he literally outperformed Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side over the course of a calendar year in 2018 in the league and as Chelsea assistant he won two Premier League titles, two league cups and an FA cup.

Not a bad CV if you ask me.

He wouldn’t be my first choice but to rubbish his achievements in management is ridiculous.

Did I say he needs to go anywhere? But it's not like he is going to remain at Scotland forever and will likely be looking to the future, whatever that may hold at some stage, maybe now maybe in 5 years. People were saying they'd take him as manager, I don't think he'd take the manager's job here but might consider another role and DoF may tempt him if he were approached. It's not a particularly hard concept to grasp.

I stuck his Killie "achievement" I my next post mate..

He done well with Killie aided by a woeful home pitch were he could kill football.

Is that criteria for a Celtic manager? Done well at Kilmarnock?

Scotland are * to watch mate, done well to quality but if I have to watch that pish week in week out, no thanks.

WBA finished how high?.. who cares

FA cup? Again who cares, the big teams play their reserves in that

Don’t want Kennedy as full time replacement but I think he will surprise us with what’s left remaining

He would have been a fine person to come in December for the rest of the season, but I think he is not for us on the long term (and I like the guy).
Anyway it's football insider so not worth listening too.

I think you've missed the point so we'll just leave it there.

If you overlook his achievements, it's almost like he had none...

Who exactly do you want then? All I see is you writing off Clarke as ‘he’s pish’ and not actually outlining what you would want in a manager.

I think Clarke is modern he's not old school screaming and shouting type of manager. He has lots of experience around massive players and he has a history of bringing young players into teams.

I really don't think it would be out with his ability to play attacking football if he had the players to do it.

I'm not sure he would leave Scotland at this point as he seems like he is very loyal when people put their trust in him.

I just don't think he would be a bad appointment.

Does the installation of Kennedy until the end of the season indicate our main target is going to be at The Euros with an international team?

I think we all want the very best manager that is available to us out there, the very best and in equal measure the very best of ambition we can do to back him to the hilt, the very best.

For those who are in love.....
Lambert rules his self out. Lol..

Wouldn't even have him in as assistant..

It does maybe tell us that it won't be someone who isn't contracted just now..

Can probably rule Howe out for starter..

Likely an international manager or someone still at their club..
