Can’t say I’m happy with Kennedy as a temporary solution. The guy was part of the problem and deserves no credit in all this.

If he was any sort of long term plan they would have shifted Lennon earlier and allowed him to sign players. I doubt he will be assistant manager next season either. This is likely his shot at 10 games to get himself a vacant job in the summer.

Im not even happy with him as caretaker/interim. I think its too big of a risk where we could have temporarily appointed experience to get us back on the right track.
For me he doesnt carry a presence, and while some may argue he isnt a “defensive coach”, he is a defender in the coaching set up and its been a shambles since Deila was appointed.
Ian cathro was raved about as a coach and he didnt have it as a manager.
If JK is as good as some say, he could take a managers job somewhere else and prove it.

He won't be given/offered the job full time, not a chance.

One thing i certainly don't want to see is him being part of a new managers backroom staff, we canny continue to keep the guy in a job at CP out of sentiment.

This. Even if he won every remaining game 5-0, he won't get the post. The support will not allow it.

This is the biggest rebuild in decades (maybe ever?) we need an experienced manager that knows how to manage the transition.

I would thank him for his efforts over the last few managerial tenures and cut him loose. If he is the fantastic coach that people say he is, he will prove it outwith the comfortable environment he has at Lennoxtown.

He better not even be considered after this season.

Personally, I'd rather he'd be * off out of the club.

Along with every single ex player hired in a coaching capacity.

Do we now need to hope we won't win the Scottish Cup so that he can't be appointed as our new manager in the showers by those morons in the board? Or have those * actually learnt something and won't appoint managers on pure results and also consider the teams performance?

Surely the new man will make the decisions in the changing room after the shower. Its only logical.

    * it, despite it sounding utterly * heartless. We need to do away completely with this old model of hiring ex celts.

I knew McGrain would be mentioned in this but yes, everything must come an end and where we can, should only be hiring the very best staff we can attain for the role we are advertising as such.... Currently ex celts do not appear to be good enough to take up coaching roles.

Nah mate, this rebuild is minor in comparison to the one Fergus undertook...

But aye really hope Kennedy isn't involved in any plans for the future.

I'm not too clued up on the technical side of football or coaching and in all honesty I don't know how he rates as a coach, so I'll leave that side to those who know more.

If he could instill just a fraction of the vision, determination and commitment he displayed when I was growing up into any player; I'd keep him.

This. Would be every bit as bad as giving him the job full time. You can’t freshen something up by remaining stale and that’s exactly what keeping JK would be.

I have a feeling it’ll be an option for this Board right enough.

Not really an option unless you have someone who wants to come in right away with a set of coaching staff.

He had better invest in a waterproof pen, just in case.

Aye, structurally it's no contest. McCann had to rebuild the whole club from the ground up. I don't think we're quite at those stages but definitely root and branch reform.

I was meaning more in a playing squad context. It could be a case that only a handful out of the whole squad remain with us next season.

In the bunnet's first whole year after the takeover we only signed 8 players. We're going to see double figures going out the door and the same coming in. It's a massive task and one we cannot give to a rookie (particularly one who has been part of 2 failed regimes at the club)

McKay will want to hit the ground running and get the fans back onside. Only a solid name is going to do that.
