Hopefully he starts to exert influence now as its not difficult to see what's required.

The longer wee keep Lennon the more difficult his job becomes. He needs to be vocalising that concern now.

Needs to sack Lennon on his first day. Preferably, before that.

Unless the person feeding him info is Lawwell I think we can assume it is just speculation. It is very unlikely anyone else would be in the loop as to what has been happening between Lawwell, DD and McKay. It's the type of thing you absolutely have to keep quiet due to it potentially having a big impact on the stock price.

If this guy is as hard nosed as he’s being portrayed and given he’s been a Celtic fan all of his life, it’s time to force change right now before the situation he inherits gets worse. Which it will without the manager and his coaches being removed.

    Yep. 100% agree.

If we cannot force change now then his first job has to be the removal of Lennon and his staff.

This, I cannot believe anyone with a good reputation and a lot to lose being happy to inherit such a * show as we are the now.

    He is walking into:

    1. A club whose fans are completely fed up with the way the board run the club. To the point the budget for next year will need addressing if season ticket renewals are down.
    2. A first team with a number of want away players entering the last year of their deal.
    3. A squad full of holes and underperforming players.
    4. COVID 19 having blown the budget safety net meaning significant investment is needed to sort out the first three points.
    5. Youth development being in pieces with most prospects wanting away or have left.
    6. The clubs reputation having taken a battering for both our on the field and off field performances this season.

The only way someone takes that job is if they are terribly under qualified and won’t get an offer like this again or the later what I am hoping is he has had assurances.

It's a case of wait and see. I don't have high expectations. They'll have made around £100m by the end of the summer window.

They'll spend less than £20m. After they employ a sub par manager and loan 5 players.

Totally agree on this but it should be McKay that is picking who comes in. It should also be the DOF who picks the next manager.

I wonder what the odds on Gordon Strachan being the DOF are, if we go that route. I’m not saying he’d be my choice but could see it happening.

Do we know if he is related to Christopher McKay, the financial director at Celtic?

Or is the name just a happy coincidence in a club that is known for hiring family and pals?

The fact that we haven't heard anything from this * yet doesn't give me much hope.

That high level a position starts before you start he should be doing * right now

I don't think its fair to start criticising the new CEO months before he starts the job. Most of us had never even heard of him before, now he's getting called all sorts and its 4 moths until he takes up the position.

If I were him I'd fake my own death to avoid coming into this utter * storm of a mess.
