Fergal Harkin will be announced as the new DoF within the next few weeks. Also joining him from Man City will be Enzo Maresca, who is currently the Head Coach of the Man City Development team. Maresca will be announced as the new Head Coach of Celtic at the end of the season. Damien Duff is returning as part of the backroom team. Stephen McManus will also be part of the first team coaching staff. Fergal used to look after McManus while he worked as Nikes football marketing manager so they have a close relationship. Finally some good news...
A mate sent me this probably a lot of ballix put we'll see

Ronny Deila in some capacity. Would be good as part of the backroom staff.

Backroom staff only. Tactically, he's not an improvement over Lennon.

I think Deila would have been more successful back in the day with a an experienced DoF. His methods were in the same boat as BR,l (no way a comparison). Its amazing to think we ditched all that, went 180 back to Lennon. I'm hoping see the right people appointed to the right roles and left to excel rather being over ruled by an accountant and have staff enforced on these roles.

Tactically, he is a huge improvement on Lennon (although that means little).

For a start, his sides always played with a recognisable shape, and generally looked like they had received instructions of some kind.

Yep. Another one who had his team over performing in Europe. We should be looking at all these types of managers, but we won't be.

The board may go for some smart arsed appointment out of left field but they should go all out for Eddie Howe. Many say he is very similar in style to Rodgers, he may have been a rat but no one can deny he is a very good manager.

Just because a name mentioned is out-with the Celtic/Scotland bubble that some folk live in, doesn't mean it's smart arsed or out of left field. We're in the * dark ages in this country, and well behind modern football as a club at the moment compared to nearly most of Europe at this point.

Narrowmindedness is one of the reasons we are where we are.

Nah Delia s Celtic had a challenge in his 2 seasons from Aberdeen, his tactics were a nightmare, a mind he decided to rest the whole first team up at Inverness Cause we had a 2nd pop at the champions league on the Wednesday night v Maribor after we had originally got pumped 6-1 on aggregate from a bang average legia Warsaw awe lost 1-0 to Inverness then went onto lose 1-0 to Maribor and go out of champions league second time 2-1 on aggregate

we also lost 3 semi finals in a row to Ross County, caley thistle And a championship Huns Team
Guy basically took us to 2 titles that probably everyone on the forum could have managed and Lennon included
Don’t get me wrong he seemed a nice guy unlike Lennon, my old mans a helluva nice guy aswell but wouldn’t want him near Celtic as manager backroom staff or in any form of capacity

It could be to his benefit as well tbh. No european experience, not being at a club with 60000 fans every other week,etc... He needs us to show he can step up to that next level, to get a job in the top 6/8 of the epl. Van *, Wanyama did the same to show themselves as good enough for top 6 sides by showing what they could achieve in a “ lesser” club. Even the rat did the same to get back to a top 6 or 8 epl side.It might not be long lasting but benefit both parties imho....

Only if whoever comes in wants him. Whoever we get in needs their own team in with them.

It wasn't Deila that was in charge when we lost the semi to Ross County, it was Lennon. The Inverness loss was a farce, we were cheated out of that, plain and simple. It cost Deila a treble. The board didn't back Deila whatsoever. We went into that Maribor game having only brought in Berget if I remember correctly. Another case of the board playing Russian roulette with the Champions League and losing.

Genuinely wouldn’t be suprised to see Lennon getting the director of football job and Kennedy becoming new manager with the way the clubs currently being run

    Not a chance in *!

whilst I’m of the belief that the board don’ylt give a * about the fans, they know fine well the CUSTOMER aren’t happy with Lennon, so not a chance they’re promoting him upstairs and kennedy moving up into tbe hotseat....

Having a dig at the board and joking for the most part but they have also been aware the majority of fans haven’t been happy with Lennon for months and he is still here

Aye, but they haven’t needed to worry about season ticket renewal time...
