We are going to have players at the euros as we'll this summer so they are likely to miss qualifiers as well I would have thought

So we were told at the end of December 3-4 months out, no he's out for another 6-9 months.

Could well be next December/January before we see him again.

Ajer will definitely be away in the summer and Duffy is a useless * who'll hopefully not be coming back.

Missed out big time on Davies in January and now this has added to what will already be a monumental rebuild in the summer.

Not a prayer we will qualify for CL imo as we are notoriously slow in the market and wait until its too late.

Ralston should be away this summer as his last year is an option. So it will almost certainly be a back 3 of:

    Welsh
    Bitton
    Taylor

On the other hand if Celtic take up that option on Ralston as cover will show what an absolute waste it was to bring in Kenny for a season that is already finished.

I like Jullien when he plays most of the time but he's never available.

Got shades of Marvin Compper about him.

He's remembered more for his work in the opposition box , as a centre half. I've never seem him as a solid defender. not looking like a good 7 mill spent.. Granted the injuries are unforeseen circumstances, no idea whether he's had a poor injury record.

Still our 2nd best defender though.

Needed an additional centre half before he was injured. Needed another one after he was injured.

    Got none.

Playing midfielders in the position as a result. Absolute Shambles

It honestly looked like could have made the clearance differently and avoided the post, maybe too gangly to perform a spinning, falling back kick though.

Possibly the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read on here.

I was talking about his injury record not his footballing ability. Why is that ridiculous?

The bit you missed off in what you quoted is that I said I like him as a footballer. Are you disagreeing with that too?

Another contract for Bitton because we have once again failed to plan for the future, then?

Jullien has played 61 games for Celtic in 18 months; Compper played 1 game in 12 months. There is no comparison to be made whatsoever.

Fair enough I was commenting after the news he is likely to be out for 9 months which means he will now likely play 0 games in the next 9 months :39:

I did say it was "shades of Compper" too but I'll now go and look for a more accurate comparison with injury prone Celtic players for future use. Any more accurate suggestions welcome.

This injury was a freak accident, to be fair. I would be more worried if it were a recurring injury.

He has had two major injuries before this one: a back injury at Celtic, and an Achilles tendon injury at Freiburg. He missed about 20 games in total as a result of those two injuries. He will have missed a handful more with the kind of niggling injuries that all players suffer, but over the course of an eight-and-a-half-year career, his injury record is nothing extraordinary.

Jullien has made 220 league appearances since the start of the 2012-13 season; McGregor has made 232 in the same time.

From memory , was that ball more than likely going out when he collided with the post ?
