Potential Manager Suggestions?

The standard of our league makes it a hard sell to any top manager though not impossible with an ambitious board.

 

The Daily Mirror trying to run with it and The Sun have just reported that "report"

Nothing in it at all, imo.

 

There is no chance Benitez is happening.
Howe is a long shot and he's got nowhere near the experience or CV of Benitez.

 

I’m not saying Benitez is happening, but the fact we haven’t even signed a loan player makes me think something is happening.

 

Benitez has win little since the Champions league. He did win the Europa league with Chelsea but that team had won the champions league the season before, so he had a great squad. He got sacked very quickly from Inter and Real. Could be that he just hasn't aged with the times.

 

Maybe its because the Board don't really give a * or maybe it's just their usual incompetent way of running our club.

 

I think the opposite, nothing is happening on the manager front or transfers . We have been crying out for a CB since Julien got injured bit nothing. Our board have firmly buried their heads in the sand and will only raise them again when it comes to renewing season tickets.

 

Aside from obvious factors this season, our biggest problem has been our ineptitude with our defending - even the weakest of domestic frontlines have been able to bypass us at almost every opportunity.

Whatever manager that comes in that would be the first area that needs addressed.

Benitez - if there is any genuine interest - definitely possesses tactical nous in that department.

Eddie Howe - while largely being praised as a "young" progressive manager, is definitely an attack-notioned manager. His Bournemouth team were entertaining in attack, but very much conceded a large number of goals. That would be the only issue I had with him as our manager.

Granted you'd need an insane amount of cash to prise in an all-round coach, but * knows who is actually available/achievable and willing to come here.

One thing's for sure, Lennon needs to be out ASAP.

Just can't believe Lennon is still in charge. Even taking all things into consideration it is insane to not make change and plan for next season immediately. Utter * insane.

 

To be fair they reported the same with them and Gerrard and we scoffed at it and it turned out to be true

Only thing I have against Benitez is zonal marking our squad needs to go back and Lear the basics before that’s tried again

If by some miracle Benitez came here, I'd let him do whatever the * he wanted. Zonal marking, man marking, 4-6-0, whatever.
He's one of the best managers on the planet .... which is why it's a non starter. But still.

 

Looks like the Mirror were well off the mark with their comments hopefully Lennon is still punted.

 

We will be left with Kennedy come Friday.......club statement will be full of bluster of getting the right man in and timing.......

Media will keep coming out with one after another of hun good news stories to salt our wounds....

It's going to be a very tough six months for us.....

 

Seriously?

He's too good for us but trust me....we'd be majorly improved with Benitez in every department..

We'll be better under a half decent coach that's nowhere near Benitez' calibre even..

 

First time for everything I suppose.

 

On reflection, that sounds about right...

 

These blogs and that Keith Jackson warble some amount of * Rodgers left maybe because of the board that’s not in doubt but saying it because he never got a dome ... blogs are coming out with it now they forgetting that plans are submitted to refurbish barrowfeild

Lampard to be sacked by Chelsea today apparently.

He done well at Derby with a very young squad and almost got them promoted in his first season. He got the Chelsea job far too early.

Although it hasn’t worked out at Chelsea, he will be a better manager for that experience.

He is someone we should be looking at IMO.
