If he hasn't been misquoted or is reading that pish off a pre-written statement then he can GTF along with all the other wasters at the club. Griffiths and the rest of them knew exactly what this season meant to all of us yet they fecked it up big time. Griffiths was given so many chances to get his act together but obviously couldn't give a * and, if he was at any other club, he would have been shown the door. To say "they thought it was a foregone conclusion that we were just going to turn up this season and win the ten. It doesn’t work like that. You need to earn the right to win trophies." - no Leigh, you have to earn the right to play for Glasgow Celtic and give it 100% in every game, not miss half the season due to your levels of fitness. Fecking fed up with our players coming out one after the other with this *.

I do think Lennon would have been gone by now if it wasn't for the protests outside the ground going down so badly with DD and PL.

Griff us just reiterating the attitude that has been instilled by Lawell/Lennon.

That we the fans should be grateful for recent past glories and sit down. Let's be honest, both Broony and Griff are likely to very close to the manager et al. And neither of them could be considered rocket scientists.

A proper manager wouldn't dream of filling their heads full of that sort of * given our performances on the pitch.

This is what Lennon's "man management" has wrought... a squad of players disconnected not only from the support but from the entire reality of the situation.

A real manager would have had these players out apologising and talking up ways to fix it.

I don't blame a SINGLE player for out season, I only blame Lawell and indirectly Lennon. If you've spent years with a coach as a player, and they've done you're career a world of good, you're gonna see it as your duty to get out there a parrot their excuses.

I certainly won't blame Griff, or Broony for that.
I blame Lennon for allowing that sort of mentality to permeate in the first place.

Yet more evidence of how professional coaching standards have slipped imo.

Hes an * who can think for himself,if ye think he does as lenny says what was he thinking coming back from preseason overweight?surely lenny would be telling them whats expected from him preseason and yet he came back unfit.

He,s wrong to say the fans have a short memory,we are a mess and he knows it as much as we do and he just accept it and move on instead of saying we fans have short memories blah blah blah.

im not sure how you dont think the like of eddie,ntcham and the rest who have put in half arsed efforys can not be held responsible for this mess,again grown men who know whats required from them (without having to be reminded)and yet they dont deliver.

this isnt going to get better until from the top to the bottom of the CLUB changes their ATTITUDE

look how better off we would be if the attitude was correct in the last 3 games we would be 6 points closer to the huns 17pts and feeling a bit better, with that form we could win our 3 games in hand and the huns could only be 8pts ahead, we win one of our 2 games against the huns and there only 5pts ahead

that was all completely in our control if we weren't such * from top to bottom of the club and in this constant feeling sorry for ourselves * * attitude

Odsonne Edouard is worse, horrendous 'cant be arsed' attitude. Get him to *. At least when Griffiths plays he puts some effort in.

The players would do well to keep their mouth shut, nose clean and head down.

Let the club implode on it own and let Lennon ruin his own reputation. No point publicly backing the guy or Lawwell. The writing is on the wall for those two, saddling up with them is only going to ruin the players own image.

I assume he feels he will owe some sort of loyalty to Lennon and Lawwell, one for bringing him to the club, the other for not forcing him out during his mental health issues. Which is admirable, but shut the * up Leigh, they won't be here much longer and surely you dont want to sacrafice yourself with them.

 

Heart warming to see yet another Celtic player who has contributed so much getting called a * on a Celtic fan site. Crazy crazy season

 

What part of Leigh wanted the manager to stay as long as possible resulted in him sticking 2 fingers up at the training plan before pre-season?

The absolute last player that should be mouthing off to the fans. The fans have been excellent to him and been accepting of a lot.

Griff is an embodiment of everything wrong with the club. Lazy, arrogant and happy to dine out on past glories.

One for the clear-out in the summer.

 

Couldn’t agree more . Some people on this site didn’t think it was a big deal he wasn’t fully fit , it was a disgrace, he is getting paid a fortune to play football and part of that is staying fit . He has had so much support from the fans and just talks * online , guy is thick as * and his time is up

 

Forget the abomination on the pitch this season - a decent number of players, and Lennon, have collectively thrown the fans under the bus with their comments.

This whole ‘we’ve been really successful previously so let us off the hook for having one of the poorest seasons in the post MON era’ has to stop. Griff trotting out that line is just so, so misguided though, given how much support the fans have given him over the years, and how much of a slap in the face it was to all of us for him to report back for training is “disgraceful” condition, in this season of all seasons.

So many of the comments from board, to management, to players read like a group who are entirely out of touch with how important this season was, and what the average punter who isn’t a multi-millionaire are going through.

 

Pretty much agree. This season has been an utter embarrassment. We all know what is wrong so no point going over it. Players have either gone a season too far, performed badly or in some cases look as though they don’t care. For me though guys like Brown and Griffiths do not deserve to be called * and the like by our own fans. Brown is done and * knows what issues problems or what Griffiths has but a lot of it ain’t criticism it’s vile abuse from our own, the very things we got outraged about them having to endure by others. It doesn’t sit well with me. I’d be happy to see the board go the management all go and a right good chunk of the first team go, but nah * calling guys * that have won loads with us and been targeted by huns for abuse about tragedies in their life or troubles or for just being tims.
