That’s bullshit you dont spend 9 million on a reserve player then agree 40 per cent knowing you’ll get as much is 30 million

Fair enough hope it is bs because if it wasn't we'd see hardly anything returned on his investment

WEST HAM are reportedly willing to splash out £35million to land Celtic star Odsonne Edouard this month.

Hoops frontman Edouard is in the final 18 months of his deal and won't sign an extension.

That's put him on the radar of several clubs across Europe as he aims to play in a bigger league.

And the Daily Star reports that Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate to take him to the Premier League.

West Ham recently sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax for around £20m and are in the market for a new striker.

It's said that Moyes has had Edouard watched on several occasions and is confident he would add some much needed firepower up front.

But while Edouard is keen to test himself at a higher level, the newspaper claims that the ex-PSG kid is willing to hold out for an established top-six club.

Ex-Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers - who signed Edouard for a club record £10m - is a huge admirer of the France Under-21 hitman and will likely be monitoring events.

Arsenal and Tottenham have also been linked with Edouard in the past, but it's unlikely they would table an offer during the current window.

Celtic had issued a firm hands-off warning to interested suitors in the summer as they planned for ten-in-a-row.

But with Rangers now just nine wins away from the title, Peter Lawwell could be tempted to cash in now rather than lose Edouard for a reduced fee in the summer, where he would have just a year left on his contract.

If we get £35m for this big lump of wood. Then we really need to keep Lawell on board.

People dissing him us doing my head in... there's a * BRILLIANT player there. He's well worth £35m, in the current market. I've no idea what's gone on at the club to turn his head, but the talent is still there. Personally, I'd settle for £25-30 upfront and a good selling on agreement, but folk are * mental talking about just getting our money back...

Pretty much every footballer these days.

Was listening to a podcast the other day and they nailed it on the head - players today have grew up in youth academys that are basically like schools/colleges. They are taught and when they develop into first team players you can't do "old school" management with them, that's why modern day coaches are now almost like professors.

    * like Lennon have had their day, that's why we could never go for a Roy Keane or Martin O'Neill.

We need to evolve with the times, as hard as that might be at times.

We have a short cycle on players, so if/when they "down tools" - we need to move 'em on.

Take as much as we can get for Eddy and Ntcham, invest in the next cycle of players.

Oh, I'm sorry! Does this mean I'm not one of the cool kids any more? Not allowed up the back of the bus anymore?

100% this. That's why the coaching 'downgrade' fromRodgers to Lennon has been so savage for a club like us when we hit a rough patch

You need to brush up on your street lingo if you want to converse with Westlondonscot who has obviously been jive talking with the cool cats while hanging out in bars in old London Town.

    He's a quality player.

I think the level of criticism he's faced this season has been unfair at times. He's been poor by his standards, but so has everyone around him.

We are doing no favours for sell on prices bashing our own players.

We all loved him, in fact we adored him, however, he's acted in an unprofessional manner by downing tools along with some of his other colleagues and, for that reason, his reputation among the fans is getting shot to pieces.
