Absolutely - after his first stint here, all he could get was Bolton.

After effectively 3 sackings in a row, it really would have to be a backwater.

 

I think his track record this season will put anyone off taking him on as manager. From his inability to be tactically aware, his poor man management and his refusal to actually do the right thing by walking away from a job he must know himself he has failed at will have put paid to that. He could hang around shower rooms hoping that some eejit just happens to give him a job because he knows the city

 

O think his media handling this season has killed his future in management in UK for a while

We just had to learn the hard way what a stupid idea it is to get the cheap option in a former club captain who's only basic tactics were from his former coach and in here some * want him to manage us

Even if it's only until the end of the season. It's dumb and if he has some good results the board will appoint him. If he wants the manager job he needs to earn it! Abd that's not done with the youth, that's done by at least win something with another Scottish club.

It wouldn’t surprise me if NL is staying in place, just for the board sake, until contract details are finalised with.... (whoever??)


NL has clearly struggled this season, not just managing the team, but personally as well. It’s obviously time to move on, but I’m not going to add to the personal abuse. He’s received enough of that over the years from ‘them’ without us joining in.

Haha some of the first repliers might have changed their mind now.

Thought the same back then that our board members are * enough to appoint him although the perfomances were *. Sometimes titles don't tell you everything and in the long run it costed us the 10. An ambitious manager with tactical knowledge would have made it possible.

Sad that we're a club were you nearly have to for a defeat because the people taking the decision are dumb and unprofessional.

I have given up hope of thinking a new manager is coming in this season however, does anyone else think that with the lack of transfers or even being linked to players that bringing a new manager in may be in the pipeline?

 

How can so many outlets report this without any source or information. Lazy journalism.

 

Not sure I even begin to believe the Benitez stuff... even if we were in the frame.. we would just be a carrot to tempt a ‘bigger’ (richer) club who would probably be in the phone to him while still on the flight back.

A really decent (BR grade) appointment is what needs done.. October would/could have guaranteed the league. Even December would have done it.

It should really have been done in summer 2019. Neils job as caretaker was completed and he could have left a hero.

Instead.... well we all know what happened.
