Planning on getting this at the end of the month, hopefully by then theres a big patch released.

Outside of optimization issues, is the game any good? Heard the AI is Janky as * but the story is good.

I was kinda mixed about this game in the first place. Seemed like a jazzed up version of countless other open world games we know in the past 10-15 years.
But the ambition was there and the hype with Keanu Reeves obviously helps.

But after what can only be described as a worst disaster than our football season, I will wait this one out till it is like £10 on cdkeys or something and is about 3 years down the line when they may have actually dealt with half the issues surrounding this game.

I'll just wait till PS5 version is out, should hopefully have the issues ironed out.

It's a decent game at it's core. It's just unfinished and obviously has many RPG elements and content cut from it.
What * me off the worst at this moment in time is the sound. There's literally no sound for certain things sometimes - like smashing a window etc. it's like the game can only do a certain amount of sounds at one time, i don't know.
Not had many massive issues apart from the random exploding and dying has happened twice so far and i'm lvl 20.

You choose one of three paths that have little consequence in the main story, and become a thief/merc/assassin whatever really. You do stuff and kill everything that is in the vicinity of said stuff. You meet Keanue Reeves, but not how you expect. He hangs around being as wooden as an Ikea bedside table.
You do more stuff and kill more people. And then the game finishes.

It's like a GTAV/Borderlands mix without the personalities, fun and nuance. It's not a bad game, nor is it great, it's just not what it was sold as in the pre-release hype.

Patch 1.1 came out for the PC last night.

Anyone not playing this is missing out.

70hrs played on my street kid build. Still feel I’ve barely scratched the surface. Loads of character dev still available. The amount of options available for various styles of weapon play along with varied story line play outs is unreal.
Graphics ain’t bad either. That’s a photo from in game. Stunning

Been getting stuck into this the last few days. Really enjoying it so far, albeit it's quite overwhelming with so much * going on. Constantly getting new side quests and meeting new characters etc.

In terms of crashes and bugs, there's been a few. Crashed 3 times. Some dialogue and soundtrack bugs. Worst one yet was a couple of hours ago. Was doing a mission that had quite a fast paced rock soundtrack going on but even after finishing the combat section and the quest itself, the music was still playing. Was going mental with the same 10 second tune looping for about 15 mins meanwhile cutscenes were going on.:giggle1:

Bought this in January, played it about 2/3 hours and * it on eBay, couldn't get in to it at all. Plus the bugs are annoying and I was playing on PS5

Bought this yesterday and i'm about 4-5 hours in.

It's fun, albeit you don't need to try very hard to find glitches lol. Guy straight up walks through solid elevator doors, a car merges itself inside a wall and citizens seem to be in a scared state 24/7 if I get in a firefight, even well after I've left.

The patch for this was delayed 2/3 weeks (this company and delays, jesus christ) so I suspect all these issues will be fixed, wonder if they'll fix the performance too, i've got a 3060 TI and it doesn't get a consistent 60fps, kind of mental.

Just completed the story. In the ultimate irony, the game crashed as the credits were rolling.:giggle1:

Overall, I think it's a good game that was just released too soon - which they really have no excuse for after delaying it a few times. Some of the characters were fantastic. The story was okay but nothing special.

My biggest gripe is the world. It was a great concept but felt so underdeveloped. All these different areas within Night City, controlled by different gangs. But they did absolutely nothing with them. You have very brief dealings with the Maelstrom and the Voodoo Boys in the first third of the game, and that's it. It's a shame because it's a good set up, having the rich part, the poorer parts, Japantown and Little China etc.

Like I said, a good game but not a patch on The Witcher 3.

Another 3 months would have been perfect, game itself looks stunning and I quite like the story so far, but when crowds of people start cowering in the street miles away from where I was for a good 10 minutes it completely ruins the immersion.

Agree with the world so far, but tbh Witcher 3 felt empty as well to me.
