I didn't like Boyata but Duffy makes him look like Baresi.

That bit early doors in the first half where all he had to do was wrap his foot and clear it up the park and he boots it right up into the air and somehow out for a corner. Hilarious. Its Sunday league stuff.

Sure hes a good big guy and all but he's not the answer and I'm embarrassed to think I thought he would be.

If he stands up for there goal it's hitting him, instead he goes to ground with a sliding tackle

I really dont get it with Duffy. The stats were all there when we signed him. Captain of Republic of Ireland, played against the EPL's best strikers every week. Good Celtic man from Derry. It was all there. * knows why its not working out

We were almost down in the first 5-10 mins because of him as well. Guy is as slow as you'll see in a professional footballer.

Walsh looked the far better of the pair last night. Boy could have a big future ahead of him.

He wasn't. He's criminally underrated by an element of the support because of the way he left.

Was he great? No. He had some howlers in him. But not many centre backs we've had over the years haven't. We've only had 3 or 4 better centre backs than Boyata in the last 10 years - one is arguably the best centre half in the world, one is the Lyon captain. The other two are Ajer and Jullien.

And even then Jullien is debatable.

    Those aren’t stats.

The people who actually took time to look at his stats realised he wasn’t anything like a defender Celtic should be signing.

CELTIC have been given a chance to cut their losses on Shane Duffy by Nottingham Forest.

The Irish stopper’s old Brighton boss Chris Hughton wants him at the City Ground this month.

SunSport understands Forest have now made an approach to the English Premier League club about Duffy.

But the move hinges on Celts agreeing to cut short his costly loan move and taking a financial hit.

Duffy arrived from the Seagulls last August for a seven-figure loan fee, on top of a huge chunk of his wages. The Republic of Ireland skipper has had a torrid time since joining his boyhood heroes.

Duffy suffered a major dip in form and lost his place in the team before Christmas.

The player returned from the controversial Dubai training camp early, with the Hoops citing personal reasons for his departure.

Duffy was set to miss Celtic’s clash with Hibs on Monday but answered an SOS after the squad was decimated.

The Covid-19 crisis following Christopher Jullien’s positive test left rookie Stephen Welsh as the Hoops’ only available central defender.

Duffy was rushed back into the Celtic bubble after testing negative and played 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Hibs.

But massive doubts remain over his Parkhead future, despite Jullien being ruled out for at least three months with a knee injury.

Boss Neil Lennon opted to go with Kristoffer Ajer and Nir Bitton as his central defence for the Old Firm game at Ibrox.

As I announced in November, Celtic actively trying to cut their losses with Duffy. The injury to Julien has impacted things, however, with Nottingham Forest very keen on taking him this month then Ive been told to expect it to eventually happen. Will all come down to the financial side of things with our original terms with Brighton compared to the deal Forest are currently offering them.

PS thank * for that. Whoever is scouting for Nottingham Forest should be sacked immediately
