Remember when he appointed Lennon he stated that he didn’t even bother looking at any of the other applicants, hence admitting that he didn’t even bother to do his job properly. Fat slanty eyed *.

If Lawell as the CEO of any other organisation or company he would be expected to resign. A fiasco like this in the public eye bringing negativity from the media on such a scale would never happen any where else without somebody taking responsibility and paying the consequences. He must have something on the major shareholders for them not to insist on him resigning

Sayin the same in some other chats as well, it's a disgrace that we are now nearing the end of Tuesday - when they knew on Friday - that he is still here.
As you say, any other high figure in public, business, government, anywhere, would be expected to step aside after bringing such a PR disaster upon the organisation. Let alone the implications of the sporting ability it hindered - or worse the risk to health of not just our own team but others as well.

It's borderline criminal he is getting away with this.

Ridiculous, he's not came out and faced the media and the fans.

Zero responsibility and accountability, needs to be given his marching orders.

12th of January. Out of virtually every competition possible. 21 points behind the huns (still with a mathematical chance of winning the league LOL) club in disarray, reputation in tatters, completely mismanaged at every aspect.....and not even the slightest sniff of a new signing.

This season has been a true abortion...

Actually the no new signing is a good sign. Saving the money for a new manager and his team.

I know this myth was caused by Lawwell himself, when he said he stuck the applications in a drawer, but if you think about it we had spent weeks/months trying to get a manager - Rafa was realistic but our player budget ultimately killed that - so in the end up we had Lenny (rightly or wrongly). So Pete could hardly say well we tried like * to get a few different targets but for a number of reasons the best we can get/what we are left with is Lenny .... that really isn't something he could come away with, was it, if we are being honest mate. He had to exaggerate as that also let him avoid saying who was spoken to etc it was a smart quip at the time but one that's been turned on him now.

I refuse to believe Lennon was the best we could get. Even if he was then lawwell should have said that we’ve looked at numerous candidates and believe Neil to be the best for the job.

The silence from this * speaks volumes about what he thinks of us supporters. He couldn't give a * about us. His wallet is all he cares about.

    Right man wrong position.

He should be a CFO as he's clearly among the best in the business financially. People tend to forget some of the great deals he got for us, 6 million for Ki and 8 for Armstrong when they both had 6 months left before bosmans. Obviously the Forster, Wanyama, Van Dijk & Tierney fees.

The problem is we didn't have anyone competent in the footballing department to wisely reinvest those funds so Lawwell has basically been CFO, CEO, Chairman, DOF, Chief negotiator, PR guru and Press Spokesman for the last decade all on his own.

Whether its Desmond's sheer lack of interest in letting PL have all the power or Peter being a sinister power-hungry * who knows, but the * of this season has been down to lack of delegation and no functioning, elite top-down management structure for way too long.

This is the paradox with football as a business though.... it’s like nothing else....

As a business (fir now) they are doing just rosy ... dividends and bonuses still paying out. Shareholders and stakeholders aren’t going to be too bothered about the state of the on-field aspect of the business as long as they are seeing the financial rewards... especially if those people aren’t really Celtic supporters.

It’s Plc versus FC. And Plc will always win as long as the finances perform.

the separation of the two has been growing for years and it’s no coincidence that the point of maximum ‘separation’ comes at the same time the sporting side of the club collapses.

    Parasitic filth.

I guess he could have said it that way but either way he would be getting thumped now so it hardly matters I suppose.

Has to step down he has a total lack of affinity with the fans,
If you really want something your willing to push the boat out a little and get into a (small) amount of debt nothing like across the city but really make a statement and as they love to brag about we were in the position to do so.
Instead we got him haggling over a few hundred thousand for league 1 players the manager wanted

Spot on - Lawwell is a competent financial CEO who has negotiated a lot of lucrative deals for the club.

The problem has always been that he thinks he's a football man and DD has let him have way too much influence.

It's come to a head now as Lawwell appointed Lennon - a cheap "yes man" (against the wishes of most fans) - the club has gone backwards since his return and this season has been a disaster.

Clearly Lennon\Kennedy\Strachan need to go but we will still have a major problem until Lawwell is replaced by a competent commercial CEO who has no input into football based decisions. There is no alternative - Lawwell won't change - he gave Rodgers space for the first season but then couldn't resist sticking his oar in and, whatever you think of Rodgers, that started the rot.

Frankly I would be delighted to see the back of Lennon/Kennedy/Strachan but, if Lawwell is here and has any input into the new manager - history will just repeat itself.

If he is forced out it wouldnt surprise me in the least to see him recruited by the huns.
