I genuinely fear we will go for Roy Keane.

    He won't come.
I am convinced he saw right through Lawwell the last time we chased him, he wouldn't come here.
Nothing has changed since we last approached him, nothing we have done suggests it, so any gripe he had will remain. Assistants likely assigned to him, players signed without his input.

I fear for any manager, they are going to need to be a yes man and grateful for the opportunity, rather than someone we splash out on.

That's him, read a lot of good things about him and highly thought of. He may not carry a big game like Rodgers but his styleof football would suit us, actually quite similar to Rodgers when he was at Swansea.

    Wanted Potter when Rodgers left.

His Brighton team have been very unlucky this season. Their underlying stats show they’re a better team than it appears.

    Would definitely take him.

Agreed. I know some Brighton fans feel they've been pigeonholed as a 'nice' team with limited end product, but the boy has done surprisingly well over a few years and the parrallels with Rodgers are clear. We could (and almost certainly will) do so much worse...

We’ll end up with Kennedy as head coach and Gordon Strachan as director of football, depressing

Done with the whole "Celtic man" pish.

We need to go down the European route from top to bottom.

Not for me. You lay the path of success well before it’s ever walked....

Leaving it until June until a new manager arrives gives him about 6 weeks until the first CL qualifying round. They would have to assess the squad, the back room staff, likely make wholesale changes to both and do so much more. Leave it until June and I can almost guarantee we won’t make the CL next season, whereas Sevco have a very decent chance of doing that. We’ll give ourselves a massive job to mount a title challenge if we leave it until June, imo.

We need to get someone in well before then, and even then it’s a big ask. Putting Kennedy in charge and allowing him to have a go at it until the end of the season would be an acceptable compromise, but we absolutely cannot go with Lennon for the rest of the season if we want to have any success in the next one.

I can see Lawell away in the summer and by all accounts Desmond's son was touting Keane before we went for Deila. I just have a fear we would go for him

Wouldn't rule Duff out, or a kean Duff double act, wouldn't b my choice but we know how the board act.

If we were going for an unproven id be curious to see how lampard would do with us,looks like chelsea are getting a bit tired of him.Idealy id like a proven manager with european experience but cant see the board doing whats expected.

Lampard isn’t unproven. He’s not exactly experienced either, but this is his third season as a manager and he’s in charge of one of the biggest clubs in England.

    Non starter, anyway.

I agree and fear you are correct. The only bonus I can see would be he’d demand a more professional approach, along the lines of Rodgers. Can’t see the boy Potter leaving the EPL for us.

Eddie Howe or Michael O'Neill would be ideal.

What the fans want and what we all get will be very, very different.

I am gearing myself up for a massive disappointment and fully believe John Kennedy will be put in charge if Lennon either leaves or sacked.

Don’t be surprised that the club keep Lennon here after this season.

Michael O'Neil or Steve Clarke are the only realistic British/Irish managers with a good track record and experience I think. I'd take either one of them. I can't see Eddie Howe or Graham Potter or the likes coming to Scotland. Lampard a non-starter as 1. he's done nothing to suggest we should even consider him and 2. he's spent nearly his whole life in London and I can't see him coming to Scotland.

I'm not building up any hopes as you know we will probably take the cheap option if Lawell et. al. are still here
