The same has been said about Kennedy and players had said the same about Strachan.

If he left when he was a coach why does anyone think he would want to stay as a manager,in the 10 season under huge pressure and * all experience.....seriously.

    Any examples?

I’ve genuinely not seen one player raving about Strachan

    Not coming back here.

Likely will be getting an English championship job before weekend is done.

Maybe a second in command to a more established new manager?

He knew Kenny was becoming manager within a few months of taking the position so I think he left because f failure to qualify for the euros and after Nations league probably thinks cannot qualify for the World Cup. Sounds a bit of a * attitude.

Wit? Kenny appointed him as his assistant.

He wasn’t involved in the European qualifying campaign.

I thought Kenny came in the summer and duff was already assistant my bad. But still he knew the manager so surely he was happy to be there so leaving to work with a more established manager can't be right.
Yeah they were involved in Euro play offs against Slovakia.

In the interests of fairness, it may be a personal/family reason.

If he is going to a club in England, I'm not impressed as that's 2 jobs he's walked out on after less than a year.

As regards Celtic - simply no at this point. Based on the feedback from the players last year, he has great ability as a coach.

I would only be interested if he was coming back here as head coach working with a respected manager (not Lennon).

Given that he left here less than 12 months ago, because he wanted to be closer to his family in Ireland - we could not rely on even a medium term commitment.

If he continues to progress, I would love to see him back here one day but this is not the right time.

I don’t know how normal fans formulate an opinion about guys that are on the coaching staff at clubs but not the actual manager. No idea if he is good bad or indifferent. Regards to what players say, they are hardly going to say he’s *. Kennedy has been praised in the past but to me he just stands there like a big lump of wood.

No he only joined the set up under Kenny.

They weren’t in charge for the Euro qualifying campaign. They took over in advance of the Nations League play offs, after the Euros was postponed

By all accounts he was the man who managed to keep some sense of professional attitude in the coaching setup and is well thought of as a coach.

Simply put, I'd always have him back as it stands. But it is never that simple.

His reason to leave in the first place, no one can argue with but unless he comes back as the main man, then those reasons will always remain.
In fact they always will regardless, but being the top man may provide some more commitment on both parts

Not sure he will be ready for us to take on board as the manager though.

Supposedly he's not happy about the investigation of the video shown before the game against England.

It would also signal the cheap and easy option yet again by this board.
