    Meh.

Damage had been done long ago and I had pretty much accepted we weren’t winning it anyway so that probably makes it easier.

Everyone who seemed to believe we could/would still win it was doing little more than crossing their fingers in the absence of any real evidence. They’ve been a level above us for almost the whole season so far.

What’s more interesting now is how we approach repairing the damage that’s been done.

It’s so imperative that we DON’T wait until summer.

Success in any sport is rarely down to what you do in the here and now, you lay the foundation of success well in advance of it ever being realised.

If we wait until summer then we give any incoming manager a monumental task in terms of qualifying for the CL and another massive ask domestically in terms of matching a Sevco side who may well finish the season 15/20+ points ahead of us.

Get them in yesterday, let them assess the squad properly, bring in their own staff and start the rebuild now. It’s a massive job on their hands already, there’s absolutely no reason to not commit to it in it’s entirety.

This is the most important aspect now imo aswell.

The leagues gone, we all know it is but do we really have any faith in this board to have a plan for next season ?

I'll never forget the day we won the treble treble, thousands in the city centre then the news started trickling through Lennon had got the job full time. I never thought it would end like this but literally everyone I spoke to that day knew we had * up big time. Lennon should have left on a major high that day and we should have had a plan in place

We were in such a position of strength, if the board were competent we would have buried them long ago.

I'm actually feeling quite optimistic about Covid 19, it will continue to run riot for the next 6 months so the likely scenarios is a) if/when they win the league their mutant horde of gutter rats wont be there to celebrate b) karma may kick in and they get some Covid love and some of their big players like Rapey Jake, Ryan * etc...may get called out or c) and my personal favourite is that Covid kills us all and they never get to taste the sweet flavour of winning the league again....one day before martial law is called and Apes start to speak, then start singing the broad black brimmer and it all ends!!! * yer 55 sewer rats.

I’m one of those that was ok with him being given the job full time. Obviously in hindsight it was a mistake.

I think Lawwell will be off at the end of the season as would’ve been regardless of the outcome of the league. What I’m worried about is our ability to recognise our own failings and move away from a culture of nepotism. We absolutely do act arrogantly/complacently all too often and are on the verge of becoming an ‘old boys club’.

I also think our expectations have been systematically reduced, so that our aim as a club is simply to be better than Sevco and little else. Consider that the huns last season for as far as we got in the Europa League in our entire 9IAR run (I think) and you wouldn’t bet against them surpassing that run this time. A club that was playing in the bottom tier of Scottish football when our run was in its infancy, is now doing better in Europe than we’ve done in that entire spell of domestic dominance.

We need change from the top down, but I’m not convinced the board will see it that way.

Yeah. Was looking forward to the season hugely and have little interest in watching it only out now, which is made much worse given the circumstances with covid.

A new manager would at least make it interesting again, if not to salvage this season, at least to build for the next one.

    * off and annoyed.

Not at the defeat, honestly had we played out that game as the first half suggested and got unlucky with that goal, I would have been gutted but moved on.

I am annoyed and * off because as always this season, the failures within this club keep rearing it's head and as always nothing is being done about it.

    Deflated is another word choice.

Under Rodgers first 2 years it felt like we were trying to get bigger and better in Europe but in his final season and last 2 years its been very different I feel. Settling for being better than them (probably only marginally better last season) was never going to bury that lot. Sunk ourselves over a few years and today felt like 20 odd years ago again. All the ball and no result.

Rambling a lotta * but I'm gutted with how bad this seasons been. The board have a lot to answer for.
