The gentleman - Guy Ritchie going back to his roots with that, none of that rubbish King Arthur bollocks.

Decent watch, got some good laughs in it. Perfect amount of "*" used in dialogue.

Colin Farrell is brilliant in this. Any scene he's in is all his, steals every scene.

Enjoyed that I like big Kinnaman(sp) plus Anna de Armas , think they left it like that for a Sequel or something

Preferred The Informer from the 1930's, set during the Irish Wars (Independence/Civil) of the early 1920's.

And also Ruby Dee's adaptation of that which was perhaps even more powerfully conveyed in Uptight (1968), and incredibly timely following Martin Luther King's assassination.

Both of these are well worth checking out, if people are not familiar. There is a really good quality print of Uptight that can be found on youtube:

No Country for Old Men - 8.5

Watched it numerous times before but watched it right through again, love this film. Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones, Kelly MacDonald, and Woody Harrelson all great in it, and Javier Bardem is brilliant, big creepy *.

I dunno man, I know what you mean but I wasn't expecting it to go that way, kept with the kinda weird atmosphere. Quite abrupt lol

Love that film too, watched '* or Highwater' the other night which isn't as good but is of a similar ilk to No country for old men.

I guess. To me it's a little like Shawshank Redemption in so much as it is the very, very end is the only flaw, and not going to let that failing detract from what otherwise is a superb piece of cinema, even if it sticks out more in NCFOM.

I really liked * or Highwater. Every inch the modern western. Great movie.

Thought it was * quality. Probably only negative was the lead actor. I know he’s Denzel’s son but he’s a really poor actor man.

Opening scene was unreal. Might even top The Dark Knight opening also from Nolan.

Same guy that directed Outlaw King, about Robert the Bruce.

The writer of HoHW, Taylor Sheridan is also really worth checking out. If you haven't already, highly recommend Wind River & the Sicario movies, especially the first one.
