I think there's a danger of setting the bar too high and setting ourselves up for disappointment if we get knocked back.

I would love to see show some ambition and go for a proven manager and there are plenty out of work.

Realistically it will be Strachan, O'Neill, Kennedy, Coyle, McKay and Keane

Let's face it if there's a cheap option out there that's good, which more than likely the board go for again, that's probably one of the best ones about and can't be anywhere near as bad as it is with lennon in in charge

We are Celtic. We should be going for the very best available, and work our way from there.

They owe the fans big time and maybe if they were willing to pay top dollar for a top quality manager it might just help to bridge the ever widening gap between the board and the fans before it becomes a chasm.

Right, let’s send this thread into the stratosphere

    Here. My choices:

    1. MoN till season ends

    Then sign Pochetino close season
Bury the hunz all over again
    New banter years

    Thanks, Desmond

the way this is going WE could end up being * of sevco jokes for the next few years.

    that's the reality right now.

under this regression we've lost out of nearly 100m euros in CL income, as it stands now, sevco will win the league... and given both their set up and unbelievable luck in Europe, they'll waltz into the CL, basically clearing most their loses in one swoop.
we on the other hand will be forced to sell to balance the books again, and anyone who thinks we're getting KT money for ANYONE in the squad right now is delusional.

This regression us costing not just history but so much more.

All this talk of getting a top class manager in is, in essence, pie in the sky.

The board will cover their own arses, chop the squad, lower the transfer and wage budget, and replace Lennon with like for like, most likely Kennedy, citing Covid, matchday income losses, recession and everything else under the sun

It's exactly why the haven't pulled the trigger on Lennon.

    * all to do with loyalty. Or belief he can turn it around. He's basically the best their willing to give a wage to right now, it's more financially acceptable to these * to * the 10 as it's a lost cause and a new manager right now isn't a cost effective move in their eyes

Arteta hasn't one in 4 games with Arsenal and his * is over the fire... and they're not in a history making season which could define the financial landscape of his club for possibly a decade.

    What are we doing exactly?

I think we should get a caretaker manager in until the end of the season. And no, I dont have a name to give you.

My suggestion is we get an MMA coach in to get all of these lazy fcukers up to speed.

Put some steel in them and help them grow some character ( and a backbone )

Tactics wise he will probably be on a par with Lenny so we might not get flowing football but at least we will have a team full of fighters.

My Dad suggested him but I remembered Laurie Sanchez who did brilliantly with the Orange 11 but was a total disaster at Fulham.

However, to be fair O'Neill has done a great job at Stoke - 5th in the championship I think. I have a mate from Stoke who is a dedicated fan and he was telling me that O'Neill analysed the club setup in real detail when he arrived.

Since then, he has been getting rid of dead wood and changing (within budget) things to suit his style.

Hindsight is always perfect - I didn't want us to take a chance on him and now I really wish we had.

I’ve been told representative of Ange Postecoglou approached Celtic last week, however they were kindly told they weren’t seeking a new manager. He was manager of Australia for 5 years and lead them twice to World Cup.

Current manager of Yokohama Marinos. He managed them to their first league title in 15 years last season.

Depending on how this season ends, whether the board stays intact or not, whoever is in charge at that level will have to pull out a every possible trick to win back fans.

Like right now, I'd be surprised if fans even got excited if we pulled off a * huge shock, sacked Lennon then immediately brought in Poch. The season has been so disastrous I believe fans would struggle to move past how * * this season is because of the Boards inaction.

Yeh, after seeing the photos from yesterday I totally agree. Fences, mounted police, guys getting arrested etc. - speaks volumes and totally the board's fault
