    contribution doesn’t equal causation.

The come back that season was incredible and since Lennon returned there has been a rewrite of history from our own fans regarding it.

    Tragic really.

Same man! Used to love the guy, the longer hes here the more damage he will do to his Celtic status amongst fans.

Why were Lenny and Broony not organising the defence at the penalty in case Bain saved it instead of watching Frimpong and Bitton just stand there with their hands on their hips. We’ve got the rest of the season to watch a totally unmanaged team make mistake after mistake with zero leadership.

Deila was hounded out as well, has done nothing since and now manages in the MLS I wouldn't be taking his word as gospel tbh. Lennon has done far more in his career than Deila will ever do and to say he's a donkey is way over the top. He wasn't sacked from Hibs due to his managerial ability either so I don't see how that is relevant. He did a fantastic job with Hibs, I think everyone acknowledges that. I don't think Lennon is the man for the job anymore but you're revising history here.

Again am I beating a Stuart McCall Motherwell X2 and being an abject failure in England and getting a Scottish cup winning Hibs up out of the Championship and finishing what 6th? Getting sacked and seeing over a steady decline in performances over the last 18 months.. the guys been paid handsomely but people are holding back due to pure sentimentality

Utter nonsense.. Huns folded like a deck of cards.. Even if they didn't it was a decade ago. What's tragic is people still think it has a bearing on what's happening now..

Add in beaten in a final by Killie and dumped out the semis by Hearts...

Only came on to see if he had been sacked. 2020 continues to disappoint...

At least, it was clear that Deila was trying to do something. Lennon has his team playing like schoolchildren.

I know Marty it's horrible it has got to this. I can barely look at him now. It's a * disgrace its came to this. Never been so deflated as a Celtic fan ever and I saw most of the 90's *

He took them up at the first attempt when others had failed to and finished 4th in his first season up, their joint highest finish in about 15 years. Again I don't think Lennon is the man for the job here anymore but you're doing him a massive disservice by playing down everything he's ever done.

I don't like Gordon Strachan, as a man or a manager. He's far too stubborn and treats fans like *.

That being said he does know how to set a team up, and with the talent we have in that squad he would be able to steady the ship i have no doubt about that.

For that reason, and the fact that he knows how the club operates and has experience in the role, I'd be happy to give him the job on a TEMPORARY BASIS. Never thought I would be saying that but here we are.

After that I want the whole set up ripped up and started again, first and foremost a director of football in place, a young continental coaching staff installed and a system of young players with a big emphasis on the development side of things in place.

Anything else is just more of the same disaster on the horizon.

I never mentioned that, I mentioned the revision of history from our own support to downplay our championships.

At least we know why he was so quick to tell Griffiths and the players to stay off social media, it's the only place they seem to be getting it tight, where the fans are able to express their views.

A packed Celtic park would have seen him sacked after the hun game.

He surely must realise that he’s the main problem and leave, would be unreal levels of delusion to think he can beat the Huns 3 times (twice at ibrox) and turn this back in our favour after his lack of a plan against them the past 14 months

He should never have been in the job when we rolled into september, with plenty time left in the transfer window etc. I think its too little too late now too save our season, we've gifted them * so much initiative and confidence. A short term appointment till the end of the season would then be pointless in my eyes, we need someone in with a long term view. Struggle to see why a really good coach would touch us until the end of this season though.

it's * * being so pessimistic about this season of all seasons man.

This. Deila had a clear plan for us but wasn't back properly by the board. Lennon has no plan and has been backed.
