That was a Gary The Heed Caldwell moment...what a stupid way to hammer the nail in to the 10.

I thought he had a decent first half, but with his experience he should never be going into that challenge on Boyle. Absolutely brainless.

Clearly tiring late in games now.

He looked a mile off it today. Always thought his situation was one of the things that could scupper the 10 and its playing out that way.

He's been done since the start of the season and is getting hung out to dry by Lennon, any normal manager would have dropped him long ago.

It will get forgotten about but you're right he was playing well up to that point. However that moment of madness cost us the game. it was his stupidity that started our downward spiral today, he basically cost us the game.

Stats don’t show what he offers etc.

Wonder if our first team analyst will be on his burner account calling out fans for posting stats about his decline.

Thought he actually played well. But cannot believe he done that for the penalty. Absolute embarrassment. And cant be backed

Could have been phased out gradually under far better management and had a respectable end to his career while still contributing in the same way Ferguson phased out the old players at Man United, instead we run him into the ground and hope the other players cover for him.

Done his utmost to get Deila out, was one of the voices.

And for me he's * at it, that was meant.

So I say get him to *.

He's pish now and that wasn't down to bad play, knew what he was doing. Even his reaction told the story.

I remember him passing to a teammate who was about 30 ft away and he missed the pass by about 20 ft and the ball went out for a throw in,back when ronny was in charge and i thought at the time he was at it.

The most experienced player on the pitch yet he gives away a Pen like that. Hibs player looking round praying for the slightest touch so he can go down and what does Broonie do? Batters into the back of him like a bull in a China shop. He's been a great for us but his form at the moment doesn't even warrant a place on the bench.

Said in the match thread near the start that I though he looked slow today - shockingly slow for a player that has had a break.

Seems to me the Covid break is what has finished him. He's never got his fitness back proper from that and we can no longer give him 90 minutes to keep him sharp.

If it was anyone else they wouldn't be in the team. The argument he should be in the team as 'the leader' on the pitch is now gone too. His head was right down today for the penalty. He should've been firing the players up to get a potential rebound and to get back into the game afterwards, instead he seemed to sulk while Ajer tried to put the fire in the team.

We all love Brown and I think if he has a couple of good tackles or a decent pass we all jump on the 'having a good game' train. The reality is he's poor the vast majority of the time and the bar for him has been lowered.

I'm on the side now he shouldn't even be used part of the time. It's just something we say because we don't want to admit he's done and keeping better players out the team. He's keep better leaders out the leadership role.

The conversation needs to happen on Monday and he needs dropped from the squad. If he's a leader at all he should be supporting the team from the dugout now and in training sessions.

It's all so predictable really, falls back on to the manager, Broony's game time this season should've been carefully managed.

He should be used very sparingly, taken a position as a first team coach for this season, keeping him as club captain to lift trophies etc.
