Play him as a right winger impact sub off the bench or don't play him at all. Never in a million years is he a defender. His distribution is awful too. I know we will lose the ball when he's on the right wing near the corner flag. Has searing pace which is why an impact sub should be his only role in this team

Actually reckoned he played well last night. Got into some good positions, in the first half had no one to aim at in the box. He did have acers of space in second half when we went 3 at the back.

Sadly, I don't think Jeremie is much of a defender, and is best suited to playing against SPFL fodder where we have 90% of the ball and he can bomb forward. Not suited to games against Sevco or European games where he has to actually defend. Big Hatem a much better option for those types of games and he is also effective going forward.

That's pretty much what happened last season for those reasons.

He is still developing but not sure these sort of games are helping that happen.

I love this wee guy! Between him and Laxalt as full backs I think they can grow into even better players ( If we can keep Diego ) also does anybody else think Ajeti's body language is a disgrace for a Celtic player? Saying that there's a few but Ajeti should be swapped for Griff!!!

The thing that annoyed me about that tackle (apart from the guy not getting a red card) was the non reaction from the Celtic players. They should have been moaning like * at the guy who did it and at the cheating hun of a ref who didn't think it was bad enough to merit a red. Show team spirit and that they are fighting for each other.

This all day long. Put pressure on the ref to make the right decision or at least let him know he's made a * of it. Don’t just not react.

Why we left him on for another 10 or so minutes when we were 2 up at that point and he was visibly struggling is beyond me. Especially when we had a ready made replacement on the bench.

If Frimpong is fine I would like to see him tried in front of Elhamed as the two link well. It would also give us more pace higher up the park and we would still have a good full back who is comfortable on the ball able to join the attacks. It would also give the team more physical presence for set plays and a more assured defender. Christie should be used as a box to box midfielder not wide right.

Hearing last night it is serious.
Shocking assault on the wee man.
And if he is out long term, it is a position we are thin on the ground in.

NEIL LENNON felt that Motherwell’s Devante Cole could have been sent off for a late challenge on Jeremie Frimpong in Celtic’s win at Fir Park, with fears that his right-back may be out for an extended period as a result of the incident.

Cole was booked by referee Andrew Dallas after catching Frimpong with a late tackle, and Lennon fears that the youngster may have picked up ligament damage.

“I didn’t get a good view of it because Jerry’s back was to me but I saw the replay and he’s high and late,” Lennon said. “He’s in a lot of discomfort at the minute.

It could be ligament damage, we don’t know yet. We will have to assess him over the next couple of days.”

Fingers crossed it’s not ligament damage. What a disaster if it is with Forrest out long term and Elhamed been quite injury prone himself :54:
