    I dont know why we didnt sign a 4th CB during the summer. Dangerous game to play.

    Especially when the two guys you have stepping in are two of the most injury prone at the club.

    Think it was something we were looking at but didn’t just want numbers in.

    Think he was quite happy going with Welsh for the 6th choice. Jullien, Ajer, Duffy, Bitton, Elhamed and Welsh should be enough.

    Massive blow both in the context of the game last night and for the up coming games losing Ajer considering how excellent he has been of late. With Jullien still out would imagine that means it is Biton and Duffy for Sunday. Biton did well I though when he came on last night so assuming we play with a back 4 again Sunday they should be fine. The main worry would be is Biton ok to play 90 minutes after being so sick.

    Just hoping that it is not bad and that Ajer is not missing for too long.

    I know some supporters have doubts about him but I rate the big guy and I reckon we will only realise how much we need him when he isn't there.

    Celtic will be without Kristoffer Ajer for the foreseeable future.

    The Norwegian limped out of Thursday’s 2-2 draw with Lille in the Europa League.


    Lennon said: “We haven’t got clarity on the extent of the injury. He’s to go for a scan so we’ll know more when we get the results back.

    “I think it’s safe to say he won’t play on Sunday. He just felt something go in his groin and he couldn’t continue.

    “He was very stiff on the plane on the way back. We won’t be able to determine how long he’s out for until we get the scan results.

    “He’s been playing really well. I just think it’s a culmination of a lot of games, a bit of muscle fatigue in there.”

    Celtic manager Neil Lennon says Odsonne Edouard’s return is “psychologically a big lift” for Celtic.

    He also tells BBC Sportsound that Kristoffer Ajer’s injury is not as bad as first feared and the defender should return next week, although he misses out today.
