As an FYI - that team selection is more than capable and is a decent enough line up on the face of it. No excuses about not having players fit or available

Ajeti should’ve started for me. Other than that, it’s a good team.

Who would you play instead of Duffy??? We have no options at the moment.
    Good strong team.

The baffling part is we have 3 * strikers on the bench, in a must win game, and he starts just one up top.

Like I say, the lineup is solid enough, only really 2 issues in it and neither should be costing us the game. But by * he is making it annoying. Start the 2 strikers, get the goals, then drop to 1 up top. Not pack the bench with firepower in the desperate realisation come 82nd minute we are chasing a game.

Welsh, or did he actually go off injured the other day? I don't recall.

Happy with the team, Duffy needs a good game against cosgrove

We don't really have defenders for a 3-5-2.

4-2-3-1 is absolutely the right way to start the game.

1 up top doesn't mean less attacking.

We created more chances on Thursday night in the 4-2-3-1 than countless games we've played 2 up top.

I'm amazed that people still want us to go with the 3-5-2, it's been rumbled big style.

If Ajer and Jullien were fully fit, Duffy would be dropped and I'd have Welsh ahead of him so much so I'd be willing to try the 3 again with Ajer, Jullien and Welsh.

But obviously that's not the case right now so Duffy keeps his place

Looking forward to seeing Laxalt, Elyounoussi and Edouard combine.

Happy enough with the line up.. Eddy has done absolutely nothing this season to warrant a starting spot in a semi final.. other than that not too many complaints considering.

Not asking for 352 lads, just two up top.
442, 4312 if needed. Think while we dont have an abundance of wingers (how did this happen after having too many just a couple seasons ago) going for a central midfield with a playmaker/number 10 and two strikers is a better way forward.

I mean, dont get me wrong lads, compared to most line ups, this one is fairly decent. Just not perfect yet and misses on points I feel we need to be pushing more on - such as two up top.

If christie is dropped for another striker we go 442. Who plays right midfield then?

Christie would be one of my first names on the team sheet for me. Has to be in the team for his workrate, assists and goals. He hasn't been as productive recently but he's had a bit of a stop/start season and he's playing wide - he's best through the middle. I quite like the team - at least he's dropped Ntcham at last. I think Duffy has to play as we're so short at the back - not sure how a Bitton/El Hamed pairing would do as they've never played together in the middle of defence as far as I can remember.

Using an unfamiliar formation not the way to go either.

Finally Ntcham dropped! Rogic starting glad to see it, I think that’s the best line up we can go with at the moment. With Ajer out no way should we play 352, don’t like Christie being put out wide but we know he’ll put a shift in.

We can always make it a diamond and go 2 up top as well so there’s flexibility in the line up.

Like I say, nowt overly wrong with the team, just my preference to see it better.
Ntcham dropped is good news indeed.

It's a real shame about ajer as I'd have loved to see a 4-1-4-1 with Ajer basically sitting in front of the 2 cb's effectively doing Brown's role allowing McGregor, Rogic, Christie and Elyounoussi to attack and support Eddie.
