Potentially (likely) 6, playing * with 0 signs of improvements in what has been a season of bizarre team selections, terrible football, signs of complete tactical ineptitude and seriously lacking results (3 games of dropped points, an embarrassing CL exit to a bunch of nobodies and a pitiful opening 45 against Milan (inflicted mainly by his decisions on how to start the game) isn't good enough for Celtic's standards). This is a truly disastrous start

I sure hope it's not tactically modern. Our defense is leaky, and we could do with old-school solutions to make a lead stick to the end of a match.

MON has been done for years. Strachan the same.

Two footballing dinosaurs who should be nowhere near a team like Celtic in 2020.

We need a young, progressive manager. Ideally with no ties to the club.

Aye but he's not exactly done anything wrong. Sticking with Duffy was insanity

Tbh I'd say Walter Smith had the better of Strachan outside of second half of 2007/08. He would have lost the league again had he stayed

A replacement shouldn't just be for this season but to go in a different direction with the club, allow youth to prosper and have some fresh ideas. 10iar or not I can't see duffy ajer brown McGregor Christie rogic edoaurd elyounassi laxalt ntcham here next season. There is a massive rebuild on the horizon . Eddie Howe plays good football and has managed at the top and bottom of leagues, he is a modern manager and has a good record with developing talent.

The 10 is at stake along with direct entry to the CL which will really help Sevco in the long run, we need someone who can manage a football team and Neil has proved he is no longer the man for the job

so because he is 68 he can’t come back till the end of the season?

Also didn’t Walter Smith win 8 trophies in his second term as Rangers Manager and got them to the Uefa cup final?

I think you proved ma point even more! Cheers Pal

someone who understands what they are asking the players to do is an improvement.

Our full backroom staff are made up of former Celtic Players or family members of Gordon Strachan, We're looking after our old pals rather than making any steps forward as a club

modern wont guarantee success. Rodgers had big issues with the defence too and the league was a lot less strong when he was here.
We were getting spanked in europe and rangers wernt capable of challenging.

Huns go 1 up early, can see how that games going to pan out, and not unexpected - which is what we need to get used to.

6 points behind with a game in hand is one thing, but does anyone seriously think we can win that game in hand? let alone win another game more than the huns just to level with them?

Lennon has been poor all season and EVERY single big game he has * it with absolutely no sign of learning from it.
He's fired out excuses all over the place, but bottom line is that the team on the pitch has always been man for man better than the opponents (Milan aisde) and the team are completely unmotivated, lack tempo, leadership, commitment, desire.

Things that the manager is meant to be able to give to the players. He has failed us and will only make this worse.

The Cup semi next week, anyone honestly think we are likely to win it? Let alone the final? You're deluded if you are going to claim we will win it. I hope we do, we all do, but no one can have any real belief in that.
It's blind faith and romantic wishing that is keeping Lennon here now, time is gone Lennon.

Neil Lennon is an absolute club legend, played with us and captained us in a great successful era, managed us and started the 9 and completed the 9. He rightly gets talked about in the same way as the Lions for me, but all that is in the past and he is not the right man to take us forward and salvage this season.
