Tbh think what happened on sunday against them fkrs maybe the boot in baws we needed. Played * did Lennon get selection formation wrong? Possibly, would eddy and co made a difference if they played? Dont think so team was of pace . But let them laugh cos Celtic will get finger out again , and again el chiuawa cant score against us even when we played * so fk them.

I thought Ferencvaros would be the boot in the baws we needed.

    Easily..

He's been noticeably slower/poorer this season but he stood up the weekend and didn't chuck it either..

That's Hibs at home, McDiarmid when he came on he started the turning of the game for us with his tempo and Saturday where he was one of our better player's...admittedly best of a bad bunch..

He's had it stinking this season and some of it rightly so....but he's responded to that and upped his game..

Needs to be carefully managed. This is where Soro, Turnbull and Connell come in, when we shuffle the pack..

    Yep..

We've already had it and had too many close calls domestically so I don't buy that..

That ugly * no scoring is no consolation to me either..

Aye, don't know if I posted it in the Duffy thread but I think there was other reasons outwith the system itself that led to that.

    • I don't think Eddie is the ideal player to play as that tip, he likes to play deeper, isn't dominant aerially and isn't a natural poacher. We had such great success with Dembele as the 1 as he did all of the above in the penalty box; Ajeti has similar qualities.

    • No settled and suited LB - Bolingoli failed to shine offensively, Hayes came.in every now and then. Taylor didn't get a look in til we went 3-5-2. Laxalt comes with the billing of an attacking full back/wing back
    • Key injuries - Édouard and Griff both out for a 6-7 week period were we ended up having to play Morgan up there including the League Cup Final. Elyounoussi also out for a period when he had been our best LW option

Frimpong was doubled and trebled up on against the huns And Edouard has been suffocated by opposition defenders all season. From here it seems our tactics (lack of) go out the window. Surely Lennon should be putting his focus on that and bring the surrounding players into the game more as far as attacking and goals are concerned. With the opposition on specific instructions to snub out our danger men it should open up play for McGregor, Rogic, Klimala, Ajeti, Christie etc.

If opposition team double up on any of our players, it means there's gaps left from them elsewhere on the pitch. It's up to us to switch the play and exploit it.
Surely to * one of our coaches sees this and understands it.

Would like us to try a 4-3-3 then you have a good deal of rotation for positions.

Elhamed, Jullien, Bitton, Taylor slot right in.

Elyounoussi left of a front 3 and Forrest right. Same with MJ when he gets back and Klimala could play on the right as well. Plenty of rotation with that.

    Brown and Duffy...

The two Lennon singled out prematch as our most important players.

    Prehistoric stuff.

We need to buy a player who is a specialist in that position.
We need to get away from this notion of moving Christie or McGregor back when its not going well. No, they both have shone for us in their attacking aspects. Buy a * DM who is decent on the ball. No its not as easy as that, but stop skimping and putting square pegs in round holes.

Am I reading that right. We played 75 short passes and completed 15% of them?

15% of our overall passes were short passes.

Best we've looked in the midfield was a setup where Macgregor was deep, Christie box-to-box and Rogic up top. We've haven't looked that good for a long time.

Baffling how a squad worth many times more than others can struggle so much. New manager thanks.

Both worked really well together with Rogic/Ntcham ahead of them when Brown was injured for a bit.

It was genuinely the best and most exciting football we’d played in a long time. The fact that it’s never been revisited is very frustrating.

Would personally love to see us try them two with Turnbull ahead of them.

Also against that mob. There's been a couple of game's where McGregor has went left under the snake and he's utterly skinned him..

The one time he went left on Saturday he roasted him and left him on his *..

Turnbull could've slotted in there for McGregor in the middle and McGregor out left and been quite solid..

I do agree on the trio though..
