Odsonne Edouard is back in Glasgow and will be assessed ahead of tomorrow's Rangers derby.

The Frenchman contracted Covid-19 on international duty last week and was forced to self-isolate. And there had been fears over when he would return to Scotland with the biggest game of his side's season so far fast approaching.

He has now touched back down in the city, though, and is facing a race against time to be ready in time for the Parkhead match tomorrow. He will now be looked over to see the extent of his fitness issues and readiness for the game.

Manager Neil Lennon said: "Edouard is back today.

He will be assessed - we are going through that procedure at the minute, so we will know more later on this afternoon.

"He has been a bit tired and isolated but we will go through the tests and we will see how he is."

I doubt he’ll make it, my sister in law has a mild does of Covid in about the same timeframe and she’s on her *.

Fitter and younger though he is, think he’ll be struggling to run at the moment, getting breath into his lungs.

    In form or not.

That lot * * themselves if he's on the pitch, if he can start up top with Klimala, then we'll * steamroll the * no doubt.

If Eddie starts they will not come out all guns blazing, they will sit back and try and counter rather then high press, aggressive and high energy.

Wouldn’t start him, if he’s fit and ready with no ill effects from the virus then by all means on the bench and he can be an impact sub running against tired legs.

we can’t afford passengers from the off tomorrow as the Huns will play at a high tempo in the beginning and if we are launching balls up to a jaded Edouard then as we have seen this season he loses the ball far too easily and it will come straight back at us.

Agree, the same could be said of Ajeti and Griffiths. Ajeti looked heavy and lethargic when he arrived, slowly got up to speed but then been set back 2/3 weeks with the injury. Griffiths is an unknown, he seems fit but he's known to be fragile and he hasn't played in a long time.

I'd play Klimala against them, pace, energy, closing down, running in behind. Could be ideal for Elyounoussi and Ntcham to be feeding him. He's the one forward we have that even we don't know what he's going to do, I just like the thought of him closing down their defence, running through the lines and being fed passes into the wings etc he will also battle for every long ball that goes towards him with Ajeti might be too slow for and Griffiths not ideal for.

    Barkas
    Duffy Jullien Ajer
    Brown
    Frimpong Ntcham McGregor Laxalt
    Elyounoussi
    Klimala
That would be the team for me, i'd rather Duffy being dragged into the wing than Jullien although neither is ideal but I feel Jullien is more likely to dangle a leg in or pull Kent and give him a chance to go down. Laxalt before Taylor since we need an outlet on the left with pace. Turnbull, Rogic, Ajeti, Griffiths, Edouard I think are good options late on if we need to change things even Taylor if we are winning and trying to see out the game.

He can come stay with me, though he won’t get any sleep with the Rebs being on all night.

“He’s a bit tired” doesn’t fill me with optimism but Lennon could be at it.

Edouard’s situation is being monitored up to kick-off, while Lennon also confirmed Albian Ajeti will be fit enough for a role in the clash having recovered from a hamstring injury.

He said: “Odsonne’s symptoms were like mild cold symptoms and he was feeling very tired, so he wasn’t able to do anything.

I dont know if id play him in this one. I just think he has been that out of form and now with the virus, others need to be considered.

Ajeti offers the predatory penalty box instinct.
Griffiths i think can bring different types of goal threats and some magic off that left foot.
klimala a totally different dynamic, can stretch the defence and possible prove a physical challenge for their defence.

None as established as Edouard, but all can offer a different role.
