If Ajer is the standard of defender a once great team like AC Milan go for these days its no wonder they have fell from grace. Dont get me wrong, Ajer is a good player but AC Milan standard? Never in a million years.

Due to the importance of this colossal season Celtic were right to knock back their offer but come the end of the season and * willing 10 in a row in the bag if they are seriously offering anything near £20 million I would bite their hand off.

Ideal scenario, he stays for 10, we get 20M, and he will go with our blessing.
Important issue is that a replacement is in the house in good time, not in the middle of qualifiers.

Is it not this year we have an automatic space to the CL?

That would be nice. Regardless, we need to start head hunting a replacement soon.

Easily our best player today. Fair play to him.

Played very well today. The number in the match thread having a go at him is absolutely embarrassing.

I'm choking to see him step in to a defensive mid role I think he is the player we need in there.

Anyone screaming for him at CDM, I hear you - but don’t forget that means he’s nae at CD.

He still gets caught out positionally - far too much. A lot of the good things we see are as a result of resolving things that shouldn’t have happened

One of our stronger performers today. His block of Kents shot was great and his run and ball to Griffiths was nice

By some distance our best player so far this season, great attitude compared to most.

Thought his passing was shocking at times today. A few times he played a needlessly risky pass and never made the man. Stick to the basics and he's fine. No need to act the playmaker.

Totally agree, a really poor defender however even although his passing was poor and his positional sense is brutal, he was one of our better players today. What the * does that say about us today!!!
I’d sell him tomorrow if I could.

As much as I agree with what you’re generally saying, a big part of the issue is that there’s so little movement ahead of him and so few players creating things. Quite often this season, Ajer stepping out from the back has been one of our biggest weapons for breaking the lines. It’s a huge part of why Christie has looked poor on the ball at times this season too - they’re having to force the issue.

There’s no real attacking system in place and no rhythm or flow to our play. Lennon is relying solely on individual talent and moments of magic, rather than imposing a system that works.

Can't understand the logic behind wanting him to play in a position he hasn't played in for at least 5 or 6 years. Did well today though, one of our better performers.

Actually thought he was * today. Remeber a couple times in 1st half he tried to stride forward then passed the ball straight to 1 of them. Also remember him blocking a kent shot in 2nd half( which only came about from him losing the ball in the 1st place)

It also takes him out of an area we’re particularly short in.
